Our online status hasn't changed even though we did the biometrics back in 7-18. We haven't seen any "touch" messages so I'm a little confused about what I see online.

A few questions?

What happened to your online after biometrics?

How do you know when touched?

Was it visible online when it was transferred?

Here is how ours looks.

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On June 30, 2008, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Hi there! As what i know there wont be any "TOUCH" messages. If you would make an account through USCIS site and you would have to add the receipt numbers for AOS & EAD respectively, on the right side of that you will see "LAST UPDATED" so whatever date is in there that's the date that your cases were "TOUCHED" . I think most of what I read in here, its better to rely of on your "SNAIL MAIL". Good luck to us

So the last time ours was updated was 7-3-08. Since we did the biometrics on 7-18 I would think there should be a update. That's what has me concerned 2 weeks and no update after biometrics. It seems everybody else has some action after biometrics.

So when does your online say last updated?

My husband called USCIS to fix a misspelled middle name and he also asked them about online case status, the man told him that it would be six to eight weeks before the status would even show up online . . .

Yes, that happened to my husband as well. DMV told us that he can't apply for an ID unless he has his EAD or GC. Since we have to wait for EAD anyway, we'll just get his drivers license instead of an ID.

I hope you get your EAD soon so you can apply for an ID.

7/31/08: Received by USCIS

8/06/08: Check cashed

8/07/08: Rec'd NOA for I-485 AOS

8/07/08: AOS, EAD, & AP - Touched

Hi I have that same situation too. On july 29 when I have my biometrics done, I tried to go to DMV and see if I can get a STATE ID, I showed my NOA's but she said they need the approved one or a card which has an "expiration" to it. I guess they are looking for validity period on until when are you allowed to stay here in the US or are you legible to stay here. Anyways, I'll just wait for my EAD and go back there to get an STATE ID and DRIVER's LICENSE. Blessings everyone ^_^
