if it looks disgusting get that stuff fixed!

I don't understand the whole hymen thing because people can break it in a number of ways. Also, there isn't always bleeding. How will the husband really know for sure?

i suppose he can always go look for the mon cheri......

However, as many conversations have gone in MENA the men may come here and become westernized but once they go back to their MENA countries they so readily fall back into cultural norms. I would suspect that this holds true for the MENA women who have become westernized as well.

It's wrong for them to come here and get mixed up into having sex outside of marriage, be they men or women. :)

Bottom line is that if they are doing this to lie to their new husbands then it is wrong. I would bet that western women getting this done is because they have been with so many men it is all stretched out and their new husbands may have a little #######?

I agree it's wrong to have the surgery in order to mislead someone else.... but she still isn't required to tell him her sins :)

I don't think the majority of these women need sex education. Most of them were in a relationship with their boyfriends having sex and then things didn't work out. Drs just gave them a way to cover up their lies and say they are a virgin. Maybe a small percentage of girls didn't know what was going on but I would be most knew.

I still think some education would be useful all around. Seems that most of the men seem to think that a hymen that is no longer intact means the woman is not a virgin.

With the number of ridiculous cultural superstitions, I don't think it's far-fetched to say that some science education is in order.

I can't think of a medical reason why it should be used. If it's purely psychological, I don't think it's a good idea, especially on children. It's like being raped all over again. Like something is wrong with you that needs to be "fixed".

Are you kidding, who wouldn't want to be raped all over again?

WHAT??????? You are certainly NOT a woman or else you wouldn't have made that comment. Rape is NO laughing matter.

Life is so strange but it sure keeps you on your toes!!!
