Stimulus checks have come and gone. Last Friday was the last day for them.

How have you been filing taxes? I file joint with Mags and I received a $900 check ($300 each, including Jordan).

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Do both you and your spouse have a SSN? If so, contact the IRS and ask them about this. If your spouse does not have a SSN and you do and you filed jointly, then no, neither of you would be receiving a stimulus cheque. Both partners need to have SSNs in order for either to receive the stimulus rebate.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Not true. Stimulus cheques are still being processed into July.

Ah, okay.... I was thinking of the e-file schedule, since that's what I have always used.

Last two SSN digits: Payments will be mailed no later than (and received a few days after):

00 through 09 May 16

10 through 18 May 23

19 through 25 May 30

26 through 38 June 6

39 through 51 June 13

52 through 63 June 20

64 through 75 June 27

76 through 87 July 4

88 through 99 July 11

Looking at the schedule, mine should have been sent out on the 6th, which was Friday. My girlfriend told me that I should have received a letter saying how much my stimulus was. However, I did not receive such a letter. Does that mean that I'm not entitled to a stimulus cheque? I was married to a US citizen, got the divorce papers finalized in April. When I filed my taxes, I filed single at first, then realized sometime after I got my refund that I should have filed married but separate, so I sent in the proper form to change that. Does that exclude me from getting a stimulus as well?

Thanks

Only wanted to mention that I've never heard of anyone getting a letter saying they are going to get a cheque....

This really stinks...we thought we might get the money direct deposit but we didn't. Somehow the withholding was messed up on Suj's taxes and we owed like $50 this year. He payed online but I guess it doesn't count. So now it looks like we won't get it for another month or more.

I've received 2 letters stating when I'm going to get my check. Supposedly it's to be mailed on the 13th.

We didn't get anything yet either. We filed online using turbotax, owed money to the Feds at the time, which they took out of my bank account within 2 days of filing. They're quick to take theirs, but not so quick the other way around :)
