BE WHO YOU ARE AND SAY WHAT YOU FEEL, BECAUSE THOSE WHO MIND DONT MATTER AND THOSE WHO MATTER DONT MIND

YOU CANT CHANGE THE PAST BUT YOU CAN RUIN THE PRESENT BY WORRYING OVER THE FUTURE

TRIP.... OVER LOVE, AND YOU CAN GET UP

FALL.... IN LOVE, AND YOU FALL FOREVER

I DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT, JUST NOT THE ABILITY

LIKE THE MEASLES, LOVE IS MOST DANGEROUS WHEN IT COMES LATER IN LIFE

LIFE IS NOT THE WAY ITS SUPPOSED TO BE, ITS THE WAY IT IS

I MAY NOT BE WHERE I WANT TO BE BUT IM SURE NOT WHERE I WAS

.....oooh. Can't believe I forgot about it. Should have known it (but been out of mind the past few years). Thanks Julianna for the suggestion :D

YW! I just thought that would build on something you already have and would involve (or can involve) all of those things you mentioned. It's one of those things, though, that generally take years. It's also a good way to document things for the furure-- almost none of those places exist in those photos anymore, the main one still standing is this:

HarthaOttomanHouse.jpg

(complete with my inlaws and DH standing in that doorway).

That's it today. Ammar says about 10 years ago the back wall collapsed and then the other 2 walls did as well... now it is just the face. I love that house! I want to save it :( I at least want to buy that whole doorway and save it.

Brnid, the photos have captions beneath them as to where they are, they are all from the Abila of the Decapolis area.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone is in good spirits, aside from the heat as most of you seem to be getting...

I'm at work super-early. The US Open is right down the street, so got paranoid about parking. Turns out there's plenty of parking at 6:30 in the morning. Wait and see what my co-worker says when they arrive at 8:30

Catching up a bit here on VJ from the weekend... seriously considering (ok, I've considered it the past 4 years.. but now since "no job", even better) going back into Grad School. So looks like I'm up to studying for the GRE. My honey doesn't want me to be a nurse because of odd hours *sighs* -- that's okay, I may be a good "nurse" at home, but don't really envision myself doing it professionally.

Major ideas anyone? :star:

(P.S. I'm a BIG lover of different cultures, diversity (disability and human rights), traveling, arts, business... thought about "International Affairs" but I see most schools in California focus on the Pacific Rim areas... huh?? A little background: my BA is in Anthropology (emphasis: Socio-Cultural), but been in Accounting for more than 4 years -- thus more often than not, people think I have a degree in accounting  )

Anthropology and related studies are interesting, however jobs are harder to come by. Accounting is much more practical and everyone needs one. How about an MBA? Or a CPA? Or a masters in Taxation? I'm an accountant (CPA), don't do and not interested in tax - but might work for you.

Good Luck!

Yes, I realize that. Thought about taking the CPA exam (is it possible without going to school?), however after several years, I realized that I definitely am not an office person. I must move around, travel, be outside. Perhaps down the road, CPA would be useful in between jobs. Thanks for the tip
