I think at a set age, they should be required to surrender the license. as they get older, their reflexes are much slower and slower to react to a situation.

Just let LISAD tell her story about a 86 yr old driver that nearly killed her.

I bet she would be in favor of them being banned.

I think so, or they should retake their road test, eye test, written test and everything, every year. I've seen plenty of videos on tv where old people are driving and then just run someone over, then they say they didn't see them, when they were right infront of them!

Personally I think we all should take a driving test every so often. Something like every 10 years under the age of 60, every 5 years till 80 and every year after that. We all know the 45 year old with good eye site and reflexes that can't drive to save their life.

Hawaii does retest seniors every year or two.

Also doctors here turn people in to DMV when they think their patient may not be able to drive well no matter what age!!!

Yes, seniors should be tested on the road at a minimum biennially.

Nah, then I would have to start driving my grandfather to Traverse City or Toledo every 10 days for business. Not all old people had the foresight to plan their retirement.
