Although there are indeed some relationships even on this board that I might look at and think to myself 'honey open your EYES he's just using you", I also think there are some situations in which the deception is much more subtle and well-planned and some smart intelligent people can be taken advantage of. I dont think that makes it their fault or that they deserve it.

plus, as has been mentioned before, there are no guarantees about a spouse regardless of what nation or background they come from. If someone really is a user or a player or even worse, there MAY be warning signs but there also may not. There are plenty of American news stories I see of women being killed by a spouse or lover that seem to involve insurance money or other women, not immigration or green cards. anyone remember lacey peterson??? anyone going to try to say that she got what she deserved because she didnt check out her man's background and motivations well enough before she married him??

Why is it worse for an African to have a 2nd wife than when a majority of American married men and women have affairs on their spouses?

I just have an issue with that claim... a MAJORITY... do you include your relationship in that stat?

It's not my stats and majority just means more than 50%, do you think the percentage of extra-marital affairs effects less than 50% of couples in the USA? As far as my relationship, I can only speak for myself and that answer would be no but I do not control my spouse and certainly couldn't say he would never make that mistake. All I can say is how I would react to it which of course would be between the two of us.

Yes, I DO think the numbers are less than 50%. Maybe 1 in 2 marriages end in divorce, but cheating isn't the only reason they do.

Only because American women are rather stupid, and go off on some romantic tangent to outback of Africa thinking they found true love and not doing a thorough background check of their African mate, it is the American woman's fault- they open themselves up to this as being a perfect target for this marriage scam, I mean open your eyes and realize what could be going on, you ever been to Africa and seen what a seasepool it is? just wanted to start this topic to get some feedback on this story because it is ongoing everyday and i would like to know what you think of this out here i want to know why so many africans use american women for marriage and then after the 2 year wait then they bring their spouse over here they start a realtionship with these american women and have babies with them and all along they have wives back home and taking care of two wives and it is very unfair to the women peroid i know people that have been through this and i just want to know how do they slip through the cracks of the ins when they divorce one then petition the court to bring thier spouse over here this should be illegal and i really thought it was but this is very common and i just want to know what you think of this because it is very wrong and not right to be happening like this they come here and find a woman pretend to be in love with her and give her babies and then staywith her for 2 years and then dump her for unknown reason just walk away to bring the other woman from their country over here so anyone that would like to debate this question come on and lets chat.
