Hello hello,

My husband received his packet 3 and it does not include any information about evidence of support docs. He called the embassy and was told he does not need it. His interview is Tuesday and I'm not sure what to do... Should I send him both the I-134 and I-864 just in case?

Thanks all!

Just the I-134 with supporting docs but I doubt he can get them by Tuesday.

I got my package 3 also last week......and I asked my case worker what else I need from my husband as the petitioner, additional to the list the Consulate gave me.....

He replied that my husband needs to send me the original I-864, Affidavit of Support as well as a copy of his most recent tax filing.....nothing else, except if he has been married before, then he needs to add his original Divorce Decrees......

Good luck.....

Thank you!

I don't understand these Consulate folks telling you to bring an I-864 to a K visa interview. They are expressly forbidden to be used for non-immigrant visas. That's what the I-134 is for.

Sounds like the consulate peeps don't know what's happening.

Won't hurt to have both. OP will need [hopefully] the I-864 at the AOS later anyway.
