I remember right after my husband came here, like a week after, my ex called me up at work and said, "do you guys like, have SEX in the house when the kids are home?"

:blink::blink::blink:

I couldn't even answer him I was so flabberghasted! This is a man who left me for the woman he is married today. I should have just flown it back at him and asked if he does.

:rofl: Thanks! I needed to laugh today!!! :lol:

my husband is fine with my ex...it's my ex's wife he hates! He told me last night that he doesn't like her coming into our house to pick the kids up because he swears she has the evil eye. Everytime she comes in and tells us to have a good weekend we end up having wicked baaaaad luck. I have to agree with him but what to do...tell her not to bring her evil eyes into our house? LOL

cant you do things to prevent it like put stuff in your house (hamzas?)

israelis say "bli ayin hara" anytime they dont want the evil eye so if the ex wife said have a good weekend to my MIL she would say "bli ayin hara" to protect against the evil eye.

its so funny i will be in conversations with my friends or whatever while my MIL is sitting there and MIL isnt in the conversation but I will hear my MIL mumbling "bli ayin hara.. bli ayin hara" as we talk about my kids etc... she even said it to a check out girl at old navy who said how cute my son was...

edited to add - she would also try to get me to lie about stuff - like my son is tall so she would want me to tell people he was a year older so they wouldnt get jealous he was so tall?!

When my ex found out I got remarried he too, seemed totally and absolutely flabberghasted .... saying " You, remarried? To who? Who would marry you?" :wacko: Then after he found out where my husband was from then said "Algeria? They are not even real arabs!" Again I had that :blink: look on my face!

But what is more funny is that, later on he said " I give you my blessing. Your daughter needs a father. You can't handle it by yourself" Then I just had that #######!!!!!!!! look on my face! Funny how he picks and chooses when it's his daughter ... and again funny that I had been 'handling' so far!

Since then, he has come out to say that he is elhamdullah happy 'MY' daughter has a 'good home' and how he can now go on with his life' Translation: Now I have an excuse why I don't send the child support!

:wacko::wacko::wacko:

If you had past relationships (Marriage/engagement/boyfriend,etc) how is it now?

A. Ended bitterly.

B. I often think of him.

C. I NEVER think of him, but I am not bitter.

D. He is bitter about it.

E. Ex who?

F. We talk because of shared children.

G. We are good freinds.

After this answer, I would like to ask all of you guys, what do you think it would be if your ex met/ran into/saw your current SO? Would he feel superior to your MENA so because he was a foreigner? Would he take it easily? Would you purposely avoid him for racist judgements he may have over your current SO?

I came across a few things that have made me think about this. Would like all your input please.

Tammy

Hi Tammy:

Hope you are doing ok! I haven't heard from you in while. Been thinking about you and wondering how your place is coming along. How is your hubby? Is he keeping busy?

Ok. Now for your poll:

Answer is G (we are good friends)

My ex is from Tibet. He is not a native born American so he would not feel superior to my current husband. He felt a little jealous (because he and I still care for each other even though we are divorced).

Take care!!!

Nutty
