You know Dr. J, I'vebeen divorced and I have shared notes with my friends and acquaintences. In general, there is a concensus among American men(anecdotal, ofcourse)that American women are focused only on themselves despite their shallow declarations of love now and then. In reality, their focus is constantly on: what you as my husband/bf/partner is doing for me. This expresses as a continuous bitching which I believe a vast number of American men suffer from.

One of my friends here in the US said to me "You know, we've got it all wrong. America needs to be worried about Canada. You know, the friendly country who shares a huge border with us and it all quiet-like and polite. One of these days, you all are gonna snap, and attack without warning, and we won't even see it coming."

I heard that we should be careful of Canada because they are bigger, colder and on top!
