We're a one car family. The 8 year old car car (I have no clue what it is so don't ask. It's dark red, that ugly red that you see everywhere) gets 38mpg and we have no reason to buy anything that's gonna get better than that. No, we don't need a 4wd even though we live in VT so people who want to make that excuse to own a gas guzzler are pretty lame. I walk, bike or ski everywhere.

LOL...good to see post from time to time, Lou Lou. :star:

I drive a black and white spotted shetland pony. It is a she and i kick her with my spurs to make her run full speed. She eats nothing right now because she is over weight. Oh and she is blind in on eye.

I don't drive and never have done...yes, I'm gonna miss the UK's public transport system, there's nothing quite like travelling with the great unwashed

But, my hubby...

We have an old gas guzzling 4x4 Isuzu(sp?) and it is red...don't ask me about model or age cos I have no idea...but we use it about 4 times a month for big shop needs. He likes to ride his motorbike as much as possible....

Make: Toyota

Model: Matrix XR

Year: 2008

Color: dark blue

Length of daily commute: with car - 5 miles to the train station then 40 miles (one way)

Average gas cost per 2 weeks: $40

Any plans to buy a more fuel efficient transportation? Matrix has a pretty good fuel efficiency.

We share an old toyota corolla and a ford windstar. He's usually the one driving wherever we go and we use the toyota mostly since it's easier on gas and the van sucks gas like a crackwhore! We just keep the van for when we're going on trips or we both need a car at the same time, then I drive the van and he drives the car.

Make: Saturn

Model: Ion Quad Coupe

Year: 2004

Color: Blue

Length of daily commute: 21 miles (round trip) to my job (his is halfway between home and my job)

Average gas cost per week: $20-25

Do you carpool? Yes, with each other, we only have 1 car.

Any plans to buy a more fuel efficient transportation? They don't come much more efficient than my Saturn! Five years old and it still gets well over 30mpg highway. But we are thinking of getting a second car, probably an Saturn Vue Hybrid, which gets about the same mileage as the Ion.

When my Ion eventually dies (I figure it has at least 3 more good years), I'm thinking Honda Civic Hybrid or Nissan Sentra.
