The CEO of our company drives a Prius, I guess Al Gore's Doc had a real effect on him (seriously). That week he sold his SUV and bought the Prius. Its funny to see him pull in, when all the other VP's pull up in the corvettes, BMWs and Escalades.

Hee hee. P really wants one and has been researching cars available in the US for several months. He refuses to buy a VW in the US because it won't come from Germany :) We may be looking a pretty long commute for him so fuel efficiency is really nice!

Make: Ram 250 "Lariat" (or something like that)

Year: 2004

Color: black

Length of daily commute: 20 miles to the office-after that variable.

Average gas cost per week: not sure ( too damn much - it's a diesel- thank heavens he gets a gas card from work!)

Do you carpool? yes

Any plans to buy a more fuel efficient transportation? Oh God, I wish he could, but he needs that truck for work purposes, so that's all it's used for- what we would do without his company paying/ refunding for his work diesel, I have NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO idea!

Just as an after thought. We bought the Volvo a month ago. Traded in my Celica ( which got FANTASTIC gas mileage, but we completely impractical as a "family car") -lol-anyway, we got a GREAT trade-in deal on it as the sales guy ALREADY had a buyer for it, and was " abit short on cars coz everyone is not buying and trading in their trucks". He was right, the place was FULL of those ginormous trucks and SUV's. I always wanted a Volvo; I like the safety rep-but it took AGES to find the right one. Loads of of trucks and SUVs to pick from, though.....

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!
