hi jackie :star:

I'm sure my cats have an idea that I have something up my sleeves coz when I woke up this morning..Mrs. Ivory brought her crumpled paper ball and was acting all cute in front of me (usually she waits until I get home to be cute) and Mr. CatBob was sitting all pretty and not running around crazy...they both watched my every move but didn't attack my feet when I came out of the bedroom .... I was getting ready to leave and CatBob layed down on his back by the front door and pawed at the air begggggging for me to rub his belly ... very strange behavior this morning... I wonder if they're going to be waiting at the door for me with a shaver and ropes when I get home....

It's 91 here, but feels like 98 and we have 51% humidity :blink: IT'S HOT!!! In other news, gas prices are outta control! Shopped around a little, did the gasbuddy.com thing, ended up what "appeared" to be cheapest w/o traveling 15 miles was 3.79 - got there, it was 3.89! Went across the street where it was 3.82, went in to pay and she said "it's jumping to 4.02 any second now. I left $60 cash and said "I'll be back for change". Before I turned on the pump, the sign changed to 4.02, but my pump button I had to push still registered 3.82... $60 to fill my Toyota Camry!!!!!   Sheesh! This is really getting ridiculous.

Um........ have a good Saturday.... yeah, ok. It's HOT and it cost way too much to go anywhere! :star:

Hole my garsh!!!!! $4.02? It's $3.94 near my house :( I remember when I used to be able to fill my toyota carolla with $12.... I haven't even filled it up in I can't remember how long. And I don't even drive the van! I'm not looking forward to the $400-$500 in gas it's going to take to drive to Houston either!

It's over $4 a gallon in Boston, that much I do know. you can tell people are frustrated by gas prices here. The amount of people on the trains here is obnoxious:) I live 3 stops away from the end of the blue line. And during the week at times I stand as there are no seats whereas before there would only have been a handful of people that far out until you get more in towards Boston. now everyone and their dog takes the trains. I'm already dreading the cost of a car and gas prices for habibi. I don't think he understands that gas prices are not the same as they were a year ago. Isnt a camry supposed to be one of thsoe "good on gas" cars? Wow

It's 92 here but weather.com says it feels like 95.... it's HOT!

yuck. Even in Boston today I think it'll be like 83. Tomorrow 89 I think. Isnt it too early to be 89 in Boston?! lol

Is it only 83? It feels like 103. I'm not ready for the heat! I guess we'll have to put in the A/C window unit soon. Can't wait for the electric bill!

Thanks, Mohamed!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

The amount of people on the trains here is obnoxious:)

Sounds like the buses here lately. Before I lost my job, a lot of ppl had bought bus passes and starting riding it to work instead of driving.... I bet there are more now too.

My husband and I were going to sell the small car and just drive the van down to Houston but my mom was like "OH NO U DONT!!!" LOL so we reconsidered and thought it'd be better to just pull the car down there so we'll have it to run around town because it really is good on gas. I can fill it up and run around town for at least 2 weeks... another week or two if I only go where I need to. The van, on the other hand, I put a half a tank the other week and drove an hour to mom mom's house and it was almost on E again :( We have to pay $160 to have a hitch installed on the van and another $174 to rent a tow dolly to pull the car but in the long run it'll be worth it to have the small car down there.

I'm sure my cats have an idea that I have something up my sleeves

What r u doing to the kitties? :(

hey personally I prefer 85 (feels like 103) to frostbite. Seriously. Being MENA/S.E Asia women here, I think we know our SOs feel this weather as right at home. I am by no means complaining, and will make the most of this beautiful hot weather. Just thinking about the looooooong winter just gives me chills.

Actually a great incentive for me not complaining is imagining having to go back to this is only 5 and half months.

Our winters here only require a sweater. We go from hot to warm back to hot. I think I really need to move to Seattle where most of the time it's dreary, overcast, dark and cool. My kinda weather.

lol You sound like a fellw gal in the northeast , lol

The cold does not bother me too much. Snow no....just ehe sidewalks can be unbearable at times. I managed to scrape by this winter without gloves surprisingly enough.

My husband is not used to the heat. well, the heat yes. But he can't take the humidity at all! When we went to the amusement park in New hampshire last year, it was 95. Even hot for me, but him...omg he had so much sweat pouring off of him, he looked like he'd just taken a shower. When I put my hand on his back, my hand slid right down. Poor guy:( And if he comes soon (and he better !!) he's going to come smack dab right in the middle of summer:) lol
