A question for those who ask to expedite I-130

I requested an expedite and had one touch 2 days later and another the following day. After the first touch I had a request for evidence that I am waiting to get so I can fax it to them for a decision.

We have similar experience with the expedite request, our I-130 got two touches and then an email request for further evidences.

My husband had faxed all the supporting docs to CSC on the 10th, we are still waiting for a response/notice of approval/rejection!

Hello guys! We filed for expedite on June 13 and waiting now for their action. My husband is in the army and due to deploy early next year. We have a letter from his commander.

Same here....sent in an expedite request with our package on the 10th. My husband is actually in Iraq right now due to come back in a few months. He wants me over there before he comes back....he got a letter from his commander as well.

He doesn't get to check his email often and that's the way he has to hear back from them so I'm going to ask him to check tomorrow. Maybe there'll be good news.

If not, I hope we all get some good news next week!

My husband received a mail from USCIS dated June 12 2008.

I-130: Your faxed documents to support your request for expeditious processing of your above petition was received and your request is now under review. You will be notified by mail when a decision has been. Please allow 30 days or more for this action.

30 days or more and expedite, isn't that an oxymoron? @&*(_))(*

I know right lol....

I know for a fact that the expedite request, once accepted generally gets a yes or no decision in 5 working days. At the end of that you get an answer on wether the petition is approved or not. So never mind their 30 days. I think they just tell you that so you won't call every 5 minutes.

My expedite took over 3 weeks to get a response.

My senator said, that Vermont Service Center replied to their "URGENT" letter in 2 weeks. Where do you think we stand?

Yikes....I guess the same rules don't apply to everyone. Everyone I know who's gotten it got a reply in days.

My first expedite was denied due to USCIS error.

I filed another request and it appears that it was approved (per a call to USCIS).

I am very happy your expedite request get approved.

My husband filed an expedite request on the same day as yours and told to wait 30 days for a decision too. Have not heard anything back. :-(

I would call and bug them. I called the RFE line and had a heart to heart with the officer who answered in vermont.

He listened and told me that he's do his best to get it to an adjudicator.

I wish my husband will do that. I hate to bug him to do that.

That's what I have been telling him, "If it doesn't seem urgent to you, it won't be urgent to USCIS."

I took the plunge to email the congress aide, asking him to check the status of the expedite report. He did and phoned my husband to tell him that we should be getting a notice stated that "expedite request is granted" in the mail.

Hold and below, there is a letter in the mail from CSC today(dated March 18 2008), the expedite request has been granted !!
