A question for those who ask to expedite I-130

My husband phoned CSC and requested expedition of the I-130, but the online status doesn't show any touches after that, is this normal?

If you have requested expedition before, can you share with me whether there is any touch generated after the expedite request?

I as well called and asked if they can look at my case, they said everything is ok, they asked would you like to expedite your case I said sure, they told me what I had to do, later that day i got an email that denied my case

I called again yesterday and the same thing, denied again

and never a touch to my case

and this afternoon I received a letter in the mail with the same denial, and still no touches,

I am at my wits end, I am raising three teenagers by myself , never had child support, argh I can go on and on but I will spare you,

I don't know what else to do , but wait, and wait and so on and so on and so on, like the old faberge organic hair shampoo commercials, all i can say is argh

Same thing happened to me and same situation. I am raising 3 small children alone and my husband needs to be here to help take care of his child. I could go on and on as well but I dont want to air my laundry . I recieved a letter today showing I was denied my expedite. I guess when I end up homeless I will move into VCS

Both my request were denied, they took 5 days to deny, and got a email only of denial. And never had any touches to my petitions on these requests.

So the waiting goes on and on. I rememeber Faberge shampoo and the commericals, ha ha, good shampoo.

A touch was generated but only after they decided to go ahead with my expedite. They dont physically pull your case until you have sent over the supporting documentation and it's reviewed and accepted. Only my opinion...... I filed an expedite, got the Inquiry #, then the next day I was touched then approved.

I got a touch and a response, not the ones I was looking for but it is a start. I requested an expedite on May 27th. On May 28th they touched my case and sent me an e-mail saying that it will be adjudicated at my loacl office. I made an InfoPass appointment for Monday and I am bringing everything I can think of. I still don't know if my expedite was approved or denied because I got a letter in the mail stating that initial processing of my case was complete and that it will be adjudicated in Cincy (I love USCIS's redundancy). So I will let you all know what they say on Monday

I just wonder why your request for expedite was fast, how did u do that? my husband sent expedite letter to the uscis 1 week ago but until now no response yet, he also sent email to their senator 4 days ago and phoned them, the lady in the office said they got like 100 emails everyday and that they cannot attend all those mails overnight, and said you will have to wait until we'll reach yours. Well, its another waiting situation, wondering when can they read my husbands email. We're confused.

Hi Kathassane,

If you really think you have grounds for an expedite, I would take the time to gather all the documents you can to back that up, and then contact one (or both) of your Senators to help you file it. Depending on which office you contact, that could make a big difference. Please check out Sarahs posts about this in other threads, they can be very helpful about this.

If you just call USCIS and let them draft the request themselves, with no info to back it up, it is so much easier for them to say no. That also might be why you got an answer within the same day.

Expedite approvals are exceptional for USCIS. But if you feel you are in a situation to give grounds for such an approval, I would definitely give this another look and get some help.

Still haven't heard anything from CSC about our expedite request.

I lost my faith in thr staffs at the congressman office, they don't know much about the process, they prepared a support letter with the congressman's signature, there were 3 glaring mistakes in the first paragraph(it said i have an approved I-130, waiting for a visa number and got my name wrong), so my husband didn't include the letter.

Husband won't call CSC to ask about the status of the expedite request because he believe the staffs at the congressman's office know what they are doing.

Frustrated.

I requested an expedite because I have two kid kidnapped by my ex to Togo and I need my husband here to work and also help with the case. I have an FBI agent and the State Dept working on it AND my kids are even entered in NCIC (police system).

Guess what?

I was still denied without even a touch.

Aint life grand.
