how is the best way to send a completed K-1?

what is the best way for us to send a completed K-1? should we send it US Mail? FedEx?

I've heard good and bad stories about both those providers, but I used USPS overnight mail and it was there in a day...no complaints...

We also used USPS express mail. Arrived there next day with no problems.

I send our I-129 package via UPS without any issues. Just remember to send the package to the USCIS Service Center's actual mailing addresses instead of the PO Box when you use any private couriers (UPS, FedEX, DHL and etc).

i.e.

California Service Center

24000 Avila Road, 2nd Floor, Room 2312

Laguna Niguel, CA 92677

my hubby sent mine thru UPS ......

I always use USPS certified with acknowledgment due - never used express or overnight (It always got there in two or three days even with just the regular package mail (1st class)). With the certified receipt number you can track it online and the acknowledgment card is proof that you sent them your application or ehatever (and was received). Good Luck

I assume you are the USC and if so, you are not sending your completed K-1 but your I-129F petition. A K-1 is a visa that your alien SO, if eligible, will apply for at a later date.

We used USPS Express Mail (has built in delivery confirmation) and it arrived the next business day!

Nice to meet you.

When we talked to an officer at CSC regarding our RFE, she told us that it is better to use a private courier. We sent our original I-129F by USPS and sent our RFE by FedEx.

It may just have been a coincidence, but we received an receival notice much faster when we sent our RFE by FedEx. Since USPS uses PO Box, someone have to go to the post office to get them.

So, I believe that it is a little quicker (maybe a day or two) to send it via a private courier.

I used Ups same day service. With this service I was also given a tracking number, and a contact number if the tracking number didnt work. Its a little extra, but it was well worth it!
