I know you are sad because you now have to wait for the K-3 but I want to point out that you did a good thing - you were honest - and because you were honest you are going to be allowed to file and receive a K-3. You are still in the game, so to speak:-). If you had lied it is unlikely you would ever have received a visa:-). So congratulations. It is too bad that you and your husband were not aware earlier that this would be the consequence of getting married with a K-1 before you arrived to the States, but it is only a delay - not a permanent road block. Good luck to you - you are still on a visa journey and I am confident that it will have a happy ending:-).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

yes she is a bad CO

when you did not say the truth theiy say ok for the visa

and when you are honest and clear theiy say no for the visa

:blink::whistle:

i have to say the truth

because the interviewer says: i will ask for your relationchip

a sad : ok

interviewer:a Neighbours live neer of you told us that you are merried

i answer yes

and she told me thank you because you are honet

and she told me if you did not say the truth i never give you a visa

so I advise every one to say the truth because when they do administrative procedure they know every think about you

belive me

i say to him that we did just a muslem marriage because my parents and my cultures dont allow to me to go with him

she says i underestand but i can not give you a visa you have to be single both of you

now apply for the k3 from tmorrow if you want

when we began the procedure we are not married

we got married after my interview because i can not go with my husband with out marry him because my parents don't accept that we are muslems

after my interview , the interviewer give to me the 221 g AP and i am waiting for 9 mounth.......

in my second interview the interviewer told me if we got married i say yes

she told me thank you for your response and you are ineligible for this kind of visa and your husband must to apply foe you the k3 is the faster procedure than the cr1

i told the interviewer the truth!!!!!!!!!!!

now we have to began the new procedure k3

how long it will take this k3???????????????

what i need like documents for apply the k3.??????????????

thaks

:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

i wonder why he asked you that question and i wonder why you told him yes .

don't you know that they will deny you if you get married before you move to usa????

i'm so sorry about that

you know they asked a guy at the usa embassy in Cairo who was filing for k1 visa (are you married your fiancee on islam way ) he said yes we are married .

cause you know they were not passing the marriage form in Egypt that time .and the CO said thank you i just want to know if you will be honest or not . and he say don't worry it will not affect your visa at all.

so i wonder why that bad CO did that to you

i'm so sorry again about that

i hope that

It's very sad that you guys didn't research the different visa types and what they require before starting this whole thing.

You could have saved yourself tons of time by getting married and filing a K3 from the start.

:(

Very unfortunate.

File for a spousal visa and visit each other when you can.

Best of luck.

:blink::whistle:

Actually, I beg to differ. The CO is not a bad CO, this CO is following the prescribed protocol as laid out in the regulations. Your custom required you be married before leaving for the USA. You chose a visa process afforded only to those that are not married. Knowing your family would require that you marry, you could have saved yourself some heartache by not taking what appeared to be a faster route. In this case the CO was right, and unfortunately, you and your husband made the wrong choice. :)

K3 flow is almost the same with CR1 range of time after get approved @ USCIS so, i suggest go with CR1 flow.

Note: if u file K3 and get approved u will file AOS and takes time too.....while in CR1 when get approved and in USA in few weeks they will send u welcome letter and GS.
