As I promised, from my last posting here about my successful interview at the USEM last May 29th: I have this feeling that I need to share it to you guys and feel responsible about it, just a form of saying "THANK YOU" to each and everyone here, specially to those who posted about their interview experience, your postings and experience made me informed, eqquiped, and well prepared during my interview, a BIG, BIG thanks to you guys for all your postings/experience and replys.

May 29, 2008: Got there at the US Embassy around 6:45am, I had 7:30am interview appointment, but since I'm just staying at Bayview Hotel which is just right in front of the US Embassy, I thought 45minutes earlier is just fine. I was sick since I got up that early morning(anemic) but God really helped me, eventhough my head was really aching and I was throwing up, I managed to be normal the whole time I was inside the USEM ,for almost 4 hours I constantly prayed to God for help, that He'll let me passed the interview and to be healed right away from headache and throwing up.

Fell in line with the K1, K3, immigrant line and showed my interview appointment to the guard, proceeded to the main immigrant room wherein there's lots of people sitting down to the benches, joined the others, sat down and right away the guard told us to prepare our ds forms because we have to give it to their window personnel for document checking and for numbering, I got a lucky number 7017, after that I got back to my sit and waited for the finger print scanning, I didn't wait that long for the scanning it's just that they had a hard time getting my fingerprints, I had to do it three times until the lady said it's fine. Waited for like an hour and a half for the prescreener interview.

When my number was flashed at the prescreeners' window, I think window number 17, I was surprised to know that it was the same "famous" gay guy that they're mentioning here at VJ, of all the many prescreener there, I was assigned to him, so it's like I had a nice feeling right away because I've read here that he's kinda nice and not mean like the others. When I reached his window he was already smiling and greeted me goodmorning, I greeted him back and he asked for some questions, he was so polite when he was talking to me, here's exactly what he told me:

"Good morning ma'm, what's your name? I said goodmorning too, my name is Mrs....

"Please tell me who is your petitioner" I said my husband, Mr....

"How did you met him?" Through a catholic website called.....

"How many times did he visit you?"...I replied

"When was the first time he visited you?" I stated the complete date

"When was the last time you saw him? I stated the complete date again

"Okay Ma'm can I ask for some documents?" Sure...

"Can I have your BC, MC, NBI, Affidavit of Support, Income tax return and W2s?" I gave him everything and for the 1040s(income tax I gave him 3years-eventhough he didn't mention what year he needs, I just gave him 3years copies and W2s(3years too-2005,2006,2007) I said, what about the pictures? He said he'll ask for it later, I noticed that he's looking at the documents I gave him, he arranged it and put in my folder of documents he is holding, they've put all the applicants documents in one folder. While he's doing that-arranging everything I told him, if he wants to have my husbands last 3 paystubs and teacher contract and insurance cert stating my name on it as his beneficiary, he was smiling and said " it's okay ma'm I'll get it if you want, so that you'll be approved right away", he was smiling.

"Do you have pictures Ma'm? I'll get some of your pictures" I said sure,

I gave him three folders of pictures, one folder-pics from first meeting in person, second folder-pics from our wedding and third-pics from honeymoon

I've pasted the pictures in a colored paper and put captions under each picture-I used the colored post-it pads for the captions. I'm lucky because I know that the slot is not thick(thanks to VJ) that's why I've put the pics in a sof clear folder so that it will fit in their tiny slot, he went through the pics and was smiling when he saw our wedding pics,

he said "where did you get married?" I said in fernwood gardens in QC, he said that's why your wedding pics is so beautiful, seems you had a "bongga" wedding(extravagant) I said not really because we only had like 130-140 guests.

He said, you know I've been to this place, I attented my friends'wedding held here, this place is so beautiful, that's why I wish I will have my wedding too here and started to laugh so hard, and then the other prescreener lady beside him reacted and said to him while smiling too, hey! pray to God that you'll be a woman first and then we all laughed and both of them even asked me if it's expensive there because they knew it's expensive, I said yeah, I just forced my husband to have a wedding there and then we all laugh and they said did you had a hard time applying there at their chancery, I said yeah, my husband and I almost cried bec of the many docs they asked for us before they allowed us to get married there. See, they made me feel at ease, it's like I'm just chatting with them, and they he said okay ma'm this is fine, you can sitdown again and wait for the consuls' interview and he's smiling to me and I said thank you, he said you're welcome.

Finally afte like an hour of waiting, my lucky number was flashed again, to window number 44, my heart started to beat fast and my headache has worsen, I think I need to throw out again, while walking on that consuls' office, I was praying, I said God, I can do this, and right now I am claiming that you will help me, I will feel better and I will answer everything right and that he will approve my visa. I wasn't able to get inside his room right away because he's still interviewing somebody, so I just sat down at the bench near his door, while waiting I took my rosary and the little metal anglel my mother in-law sent to me, she said I can always pray for her whenever I feel nervous or sad. I prayed the rosary while holding "faith" the little angel. Finally it's my turn, and right when I enter the room he was looking at me already and smiling too, he's a goodlooking guy, blue eyes, maybe in his 30s, he was holding a folder, that I think is mine, and when I reached his window he greeted me goodmorning and I greeted him too, he said sit down and raise your right hand for oath. After saying "yes" to him about the oath, he smiled and said you can put your hands down now, I said, ohh sorry(I didn't realized I was still raising my right hand) Here's the interview goes:

"Please tell me who's your petitioner? I said my husband, Mr...

"Where did you met him?" I said at this catholic website named....

"How many times did he visit you" I replied

"what does he do for work" I said he's a teacher

"oh really, what's he teaching?" I said he's teaching American History to HS Students

and then he paused and like typing on his computer

"What about pictures? Do you have any pics?" I said yes sir! I already gave it to the pre screener

He was like looking where is it, I said, Sir I believe you're holding them now,

He said" Oooh, this folders at the bottom?" He's kinda surprise but smiling, probably he didn't think that it's the pictures 'cause the folder is transparent, but all have a bold a big cover letters in the front of the folders.

He got the 3 folders and then he read one cover letter. He was smiling he said, Oh, I wanna see this pics, honeymoon pics in Boracay with mom and dad in-law, he looked at every page and he said ooh seems your in-laws had a great time in boracay, I said yes sir! even my father in -law snorkled there, and he looked at the pic where my dad-in-law is snorkling, after that he got the other folder too-the weddng day pics....he said..nice wedding nice pics..and then very quick he paused again and stamp something on my folder of docs..then he said, okay ma'm everyday is fine now..he is smiling...I said, Sir am I approved? He said of course, you can wait now outside for your visa delivery arrangement, when he said that I said, thank you! thank you sir! clapping my hands, he's just staring and smiling at me, I even said thank you Mr David because I read his name on his ID, he said no problem ma'm and before I leave I said to him, one more thing Sir, I hope you won't mind, can I just give you this letter from my husband? He's kinda wondering what letter it is, but he was smiling still, I said Sir this letter talks about I need to be with my husband right away for our first wedding anniversarry this June, and about my husband's grandpa who's in his 90s, I said he wants to see me, and since he's on and off the hospital now, we might don't know what future might bring to him, he said I think I know what you call that letter, visa pick-up letter? He was always smiling, Ma'm I'm afraid I cannot grant your request because we really have a lot of applicants now and we're only granting requests that are really really important, I said I'm just concern that I might not make it to our wedding anniv if my visa will be delayed, He smiled again and said, don't worry ma'm, I assure you, I approved you already, you'll be there in the US even before your first wedding anniv I said thank you very much, at least I'm sure now that my visa will be release and I will be with my husband soon, I'll just wait for it, Sir, thank you again so much...He said welcome...

As I walk outside the door, my heart is still beating faster...I am so happy...It didn't take a while and then I heard my name at window 37 and the guy gave me a pink slip and I paid at delbros. I was in a hurry because my headache has worsen and felt that I'm about to throw-up again, I have to hurry to get back to the hotel and finally rest there, God is always good to us....When I reached the hotel, I called my husband first tp tell him the good news...he was shouting for happiness...Praise be to God! Thank you so much for all the blessings! Thank you God for the healing!
