I am the USC living here in Canada and I long for all the food in the states... I was craving taco bell the other day... we have one in Sudbury but its just over an hour away in a mall so they are not open 24-7. I LUV Outback Steak house...Olive Garden... yummy.

We have Red Lobster here, but I wasnt too impressed, maybe I was just there on a bad day.

My husband has only been to the states once. (California) and he can't wait to go back and have "roach coach" lol those big burritos from the taco truck that cost a couple bucks. Jeeze now I am hungry!!

LOL...Reeena, that's so funnny! There is absolutely NO MEXICAN FOOD here in Sudbury that bears any resemblance to what I'm used to in the States, and it kills me! I figured out that in the last calendar year I've been in Sudbury for 24 weeks, all without Mexican food :( Whenever I get back to the US all I make is Mexican food.

The Red Lobster comment was funny too...when I lived in Phoenix we ate there a lot, and I was so excited to see one in Sudbury, and I hounded my wife to go for so long...boy was I dissapointed! And it was even worse because I had to listen to "I told you so!"

Red Lobster in Canada SUX!!!!! I've never been to one in the States. But my husband doesn't like them, either, so I'm assuming they're the same. post-21394-1212948115.gif

Mexican food.... yeah, uhhhh..... icon8.gif. I'll eat it if I have to. But definitely not from Taco Hell.

once you have had real Mexican food.. Taco Bell's ####### seems even worse.. I will not ever go back to Taco Bell if i can help it :P....

There's a time and place for everything. And Taco Bell's was during college when coming home at 4am...

I think it's funny that most people put down types of food they would miss. Including myself. I would miss mexican food and Chipotle and Qdoba. Cheap beer. Definitely the weather. KY has some nice weather, though I did miss the 5 inches of snow this winter that is typical in Ontario. Butterflies and fireflies seem more abundant here, which I love, but I hate that there are bigger and badder spiders. And ticks. I've never had to buy tick treatment for my dogs in Canada.

Of course, I would miss my husbands family, but right now I miss my family more.

Cheaper gas prices are nice, even though they are going up up up.

I sure hope you are saying you don't like liver and you also don't like peanut butter. When I first read it I thought you just didn't like having peanut butter on your liver...

[*]Putting my Christmas poinsettia outside on my patio after New Year's and having it look like this 5 minutes ago:

Speak for yourself Miss FLorida 2008 :P My palm tree died quick last winter ;)

Illinois doesn't have much appeal compared to Quebec....everything is pretty much the same weather like, other than the very humid summer.

But I would miss

-Mail on saturday

-Mexican food (the REAL one, enchiladas, burritos suizo, tamales, horchata, hmmm)

-All the specialized hobby stores (from scrapbooking to hunting, etc)

-Cheaper taxes, gaz, etc

-All the forest preserve with lakes where we can go for a bike ride :)

Mainly all the stuff I would not find around Montreal

Well, I would miss the different types of stores, the warm weather and even the really hot weather thats commin soon.

The part of Ontario I was in would get way too much snow and way too cold. Plus I live out side of the city in the country so highways would get closed and you could get 3 feet of snow in a couple of hours, so i'm not going to miss that.

I will miss saturday mail too, stores that are open 24hrs even though they get me confused on the time hehe. And really how pretty the different trees are. And in no way wouyld i miss my soon to be hubby cause I would never leave without him.

I don't like mexican food so wont miss it and well food that I do like I can get in the Soo.

Oh Oh just thought of something the vanilla cream soda now that I will miss we dont have that. Oh ya and the free refills on pop my kids love it they dont have to make one drink last.

Thats it for now.

Oh so, so many things I would miss.

The weather, the weather! Driving on I-4 in the DelSol with the top off listening to Dogstar and getting sunburned LOL

Wandering around Disneyworld with my friends just for something to do and discovering something magical everytime.

My frequent fear pass to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal and getting less scared the more I drink

Making my husband stop at every CircleK so I can get a slushie and pretend we're Bill and Ted

My favorite bar where it's always 1937 and I always know someone and there's always something to see or do

Our church and my sister in law's church which both have amazing contemporary services with beautiful amazing music and people in jeans sitting around drinking coffee

My husband's family, with his 11 younger siblings that I love to death (Andre, Alex, Alexei, Anna, Aimee, Allison, Alicia, Alyssa, Amanda, Aaron and Alan) hehehehehe

My husband's older sister Robin who is getting married right before us, and wants to have kids at the same time as us, and who wants our kids to grow up together and we can have playdates and babysit for each other and all those awesome things!

Going to WalMart at 2am because my husband says it's too crowded in the daytime.

I would miss the politics and the pundits, and all the patriotism that sometimes gets out of hand

Sigh.

Disneyworld on a whim. That's my life. I love it :)
