I am sure there are things you have come to love about the area you are in now. So what are some of them?

I would miss Wawa and South St. in Philadelphia.

REAL steak sandwiches and Six flags great adventure.

I would also miss Target like crazy.

Hmmm....interesting question. I'm the USC with plans on moving to NS with my husband in a few years. As for me, I'm not so sure (at this point) that I'd miss anything. We live out in the country...miles from anything. Maybe the availability of the park system that we have here is something I'd miss. We are surrounded by state parks and national parks and we looove camping! However, I know there are places to go in NS. Y'know, I bet if I think on this one a bit, I'll find other things I might miss. :D

Haha Good question!

I'd miss my husband's family. I would miss living beside New York. I'd miss hearing people say, "I'm Joe, from Brooklyn" in the thickest accent ever. haha

I'd miss cheap food, cheap beer, urban sales tax (3%), cheaper gas...

I'd miss all the bbqs we go to. It seems people here in the US have more frequent bbqs, instead of just on holidays and stuff.

I'd miss the friends I've managed to make here so far. (not that many! haha)

(I would not miss people saying "######, move out of the way.." hahaha)

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

My husband, without hesitation, replied "Sonic"

I think I would miss the redbud trees, and Target (even though it's just a bigger version of Zellers), and easier access to cross-stitch supplies and Land's End.

I'd miss the weather. I'd miss being able to drive without stopping every 1/4 mile for a light on trips (Canadian highways are a joke). I'd miss Disneyland and the accessibility of southern California.

There's a lot of food choices here too. Culture bombing means Italian, Indian, Chinese, Japanese... man I could go on for days. Back home has.... mcdonalds and some terrible places like "Kelsy's" or something.

Sounds like you've not been to many places in Canada.... and where you have been sounds rural.

ihop and olive garden are all over canada...

I know they have Olive Gardens in Alberta, but they closed the ones in Ontario (well the ones near me anyway!) I've never seen an IHOP here in my life!

Yeah, no IHOPs or Olive Garden in Ontario. In fact, I can't say I've seen them in any of the 8 provinces I've been to.

We've got them in Edmonton - but I wish the Quebec chain of Dixie Lee Chicken would make its way West . . . . sigh . . . . . but Hawaii does have Popeye's
