Hello,

Just wondering if noa2 will be sent as snail mail? or e-mail notification? what do u receive first? how long will it appear on the fone message when u call uscis and check the case status?

rubchett

The Nao2 will be sent my mail to the petitioner, if you sign up to the uscis online updates you will be able to see it there and also get updated by email.

Thanks for the info. But are there experiences that email notification comes first before the mail?

Most petitioners get the notification on CRIS Online Status first, but the updates are inconsistent. My wife's petition was approved without any touches and the online approval came after the snail mail.

Most approvals take at least 4 months, but each petition has its own timeline.

In our case, USCIS called my husband to inform that we were approved(and the site was not being updated yet not until after few hours) and after few hours we both received the email notification from CRIS (since we both registered our emails to uscis.gov) and after 6 days, the hard copy of NOA2 was received by my husband in his mail box.
