Catt... those rocks are the same colour as the ones at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado. Where were they taken?

They're from Valley of Fire, Nevada. Just outside of Vegas. So pretty!

And what was the temperature in the Valley of Fire that day!?!?

I have been to Vegas once, in August, it was 104 degrees at like 3 in the morning and the daytime...I don't even know.

Ahhh my old hiking grounds in the summer time. I used to go there a lot 10+ years ago before it was popularized by the tourist industry. Now I haven't been there for about a year just because I've found other secluded hiking spots. But glad you got to enjoy it, it's definatly one of the cool things to do while your there on vacation.

The Valley of Fire however is about 100 times larger then the Garden of the Gods (Which I used to live about a mile away from in the Springs), but same red rocks that you can find all over the South West...

That's because the Valley of Fire is a valley and the Garden of the Gods is just a garden. :hehe:

It was actually a heat wave for Vegas those 2 days. It was 49 celsius or 120F.

Chris kept saying he was wearing the black suit of death. Boy oh boy do I feel bad for the rental shop that had to get that puppy back. SMELLLLLYYYYY!
