My husband has an affadavit stating his birth which is notarized and sworn. Is this appropriate for birth evidence when filing an I-130?

I would think you would need the birth certificate.

Hello! You need the birth certificate or atleast a copy of the original. If you only got the affadavit you may want to utilize legal assistance. Contact me on PM, please I can try to help you.
