legal counsel/document checkers in Hua Hin?

Does anyone know of anyone in Hua Hin who could look over my DIL's packet three before she sends it to Bangkok?

My concern is that the DS 230 Part 1 is in order. My son, who is in a pretty remote location, called to see if she could use white out! It seems like some local support would be in order. The multiple-way communication is breaking down.

There are a lot of fly-by-night visa artists over there who give bad advice, so I suggested to my son that he get her in touch with the person that handles visas at the Webster U. campus there. Webster students and faculty tend to travel the globe, so the advice should be sound; that is, unless they forget that there is difference between spousal and student visas. Hopefully they would treat the spouse of an alumnus well.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Do what I did. Fill it out for her & email or fax it over. Or, sit on the phone with her & go over it line by line.

White out is ok but so is printing a new form & starting over.

Or have her call the counsulate & ask for help. She can buy a pin number for exactly that.

This packet 3 is pretty easy to do.

I think you can go to the USCIS website and fill the DS-230 (part 1 and part 2) online. A lot of the forms can be filled out online. Then print it out, scan it and email it to your son. That way, they only need to sign and date it (and write her name in Thai where it is needed).

Then they can send it directly to the National Visa Center by Fedex or Airborne Express.

Thanks! I appreciate your answer. I'll let her know that white-out is okay. I had filled in 90% of the answers for her. It's the other 10% that were the problem. I think I need a new phone card so I can hear her better!
