How would everyone feel if the GOP passes a bill that ammends the constitution and says ony babies born in the US to two US citizens can be citizens? What if they made this retroactive to say the beginning of 2008. If it were law then would evryone here support it and so oh well it's the law so lets deport and the half breeds when they are 18. I am not saying let everyone stay that is illegal but something needs to be done to address all the illegals living in fear. The US needs to deal with the issue one way or another. Let them stay or send them back, make a decision and do it already. We are looking at no less that a year before anything could make it through the congress and senate so in the meantime the government is just picking at a scab.

huh

I'm kind of wondering where are the cadres of "compassion and empathy" illegal alien cheerleading squad members that usually pipe in whenever these stories appear?

I guess Armenians aren't "brown" enough to get them cranked up into a frenzy of indignation and outrage. ;)

I've been here all along but I honestly got tired of reading "stupid" comments that lead to nowhereland. I choose not to waste my time.

By the way... I'm as white as vanilla ice cream and was an illegal alien. What does being "brown" have to do with getting cranked up into a frenzy of indignation and outrage? See, one stupid comment after the next and that's why I don't bother anymore. I'm too cool for that.

I can see that sarcasm and satire escape some people. And some people are too cool to grasp it. Carry on. ;)

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

there are allot of heartless chopf##ks on vj ..

there are allot of heartless chopf##ks on vj ..

No kidding.

Heartless chopf*ck, eh?

While some folks have a self image as being hip and morally superior...others see it as being naive, gullible, and irresponsible.

The reality is that many of us have foreign relatives that that really are legitimate tourists that want to visit their relatives "temporarily" in the USA. The liars, cheats, and fraudsters just make it harder and in many cases impossible for the honest people to get a visa to visit the USA. They ruin it for everyone else.

These illegal aliens chose to lie, cheat, and misrepresent their true intentions. A tourist is not an immigrant. Illegal aliens are cheaters that should not control and formulate US immigration policy. They are arrogant people that believe the rules don't apply to them.

I want a better life too, but it doesn't give me the right to lie, cheat, and step over other people to get it. The American people and the US government are not the villains in this fiasco. It is this kid's parents.

I grew up not getting lots of things I wanted and survived. This kid will too. This is something he needs to discuss with his parents. As the old saying goes, "You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your relatives." He can choose whether he wants to forgive them or not for dragging him into this mess. As I said, the USA is not to blame.
