Dear Friend,

I wanted you to be one of the first to know: on Saturday, I will hold an event in Washington D.C. to thank everyone who has supported my campaign. Over the course of the last 16 months, I have been privileged and touched to witness the incredible dedication and sacrifice of so many people working for our campaign. Every minute you put into helping us win, every dollar you gave to keep up the fight meant more to me than I can ever possibly tell you.

On Saturday, I will extend my congratulations to Senator Obama and my support for his candidacy. This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans.

I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democratic Party's nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise.

When I decided to run for president, I knew exactly why I was getting into this race: to work hard every day for the millions of Americans who need a voice in the White House.

I made you -- and everyone who supported me -- a promise: to stand up for our shared values and to never back down. I'm going to keep that promise today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life.

I will be speaking on Saturday about how together we can rally the party behind Senator Obama. The stakes are too high and the task before us too important to do otherwise.

I know as I continue my lifelong work for a stronger America and a better world, I will turn to you for the support, the strength, and the commitment that you have shown me in the past 16 months. And I will always keep faith with the issues and causes that are important to you.

In the past few days, you have shown that support once again with hundreds of thousands of messages to the campaign, and again, I am touched by your thoughtfulness and kindness.

I can never possibly express my gratitude, so let me say simply, thank you.

Sincerely,

Hillary

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Awesome. She'll be a powerful force in the Senate with a mandate to pass the kind of legislation she campaigned on with her supporters. With Obama in the White House and a Democratic majority in the House and Senate, she finally achieve getting a comprehensive healthcare program.

But are the Hillbots listening?

Check the user comments on the official blog. It appears they are not.

The bots are just a loud and radical minority in Hillary's following. We'll have to do without them. It's not worth the effort trying to win them over. They have it set in their head that they ain't voting for the Democratic nominee. They have no respect for the democratic process that produced the nominee. They have no respect for democracy. They're a fringe, radical element that I don't think is representative of the 18 or so million people that came out and supported Sen Clinton during the primary. The vast majority of Hillary's supporters are reasonable people that may not like but can appreciate the result of the primary season and that will help pull the White House back to the Democrats this November.

All that said, Gary, it's time to pull...

There are crazed zealots who support Obama and there are people here on VJ who said they would stay home if Clinton was the candidate.

I think if the Democrats want to win, they need to put their differences aside and stop trying to attack each other.

You got that right.

I really don't understand the mindset of not voting the party if the nominee is not your personal choice. Unless you think the nominee is some sort of tyrant or despot, that makes no sense. The nominee is your parties choice and you should be voting your party and it's platform, not your candidate's race or gender.

Another user comment from Hillary's blog:

I have the form to change to Independent and I will be mailing it tomorrow ... We will vote for McCain if HIllary is not on the top of the ticket. I still have hope that she has another plan, but maybe she can not say it at this time.

Sincerly
