We filed our I-130 on feb 4-2008 and received the letter from them saying they our processing. So then we filed our I-129F on feb 22. Then last week I received a letter from them telling me to go to the local office so they can take my finger print.

Why would they want my finger prints? Has anyone done this before? If so what is the next step?

Thank you for your time

Sounds like the next step is to go to the local office as instructed.

Perhaps there's been a hit on your name during a security check and they are determining whether you are the same person.

That and I-129F has the additional IMBRA section that I-130 does not, so they may want fingerprints for additional checking.
