Hello, today was a bad day for my husband at K3 interview and me here in Michigan, We had everything that was asked for in an interview, the big day was finally here, I was so full of excite ment and anticipation then a bomb fell on our day. My husband sat for 5 hours he was the last one called. But let me back up...he sat up front and watched all people get a denial none not one person turned in their passport for any visa! The woman before him was a Moroccan woman (who was a US citizen for 23 yrs) with her older non english speaking mother to get a visitor visa for her Mom. The blonde CO denied her the visa too! The daughter screamed at the CO *why can't Mom go with me today she went and was approved for visa 4 times already in 8 years , why not this time? *this is Bulls--t and f--- you and s---t on that visa and grabbed her Mom who almost fainted out the door! then they called Adils name, the last one and he knew in his heart he was not getting a visa from that blonde CO. She asked him about 60 questions, (this interview took 40 minutes) since I am 11 trs older than him and *fixed ....cannot have children--she asked him, you know you cannot have children with her right( what a nosy woman) she asked about my maiden name (he told her it was Polish) asked about my ex and my dead husband, then she looked at ALL emails and wedding dinner pics, my phone bills, commented to him on my age and I look way younger, was smiling at him and handed him the 221g white paper, took his cell phone number and said he will be called in 3 weeks to 2 months, do I need to write my Senator in Michigan or something? Are they just gonna send his fingerprints to Washington DC or something, do I need to write consulate? help, !!! its been 13 months marriage to this big day that was crushed! Thank you if anyone can respond.....sad me Diana

Call your senator. He should be in your phone book or Google Senators Michigan.

What did the 221g ask for?

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Right, this is very important. Almost everyone interviewing in Casa, including us, gets a 221(g). It is very rare for anyone to receive the visa the same day. In some cases, the 221(g) means you just have to wait for security checks to be completed and then they will ask for the passport to put in the visa. In others, it means your file is being returned to USCIS, and in that case, you need to take immediate action to try to prevent the return -- some have done that successfully.

Please ask your husband to scan the 221(g) paper and send it to you, and let us know EXACTLY what it says. Even if it's the worst case, there are folks in the MENA regional forum who can help you with the next step, but since they told him they would contact him, I am hopeful for you.

I'm the USC.

Well, if he was denied, I think she would have just stopped the interview instead of it going on for 40 minutes. Perhaps they are placing him on AP. And too, there woul;d be no need for her to say they will call him in 3 weeks to 2 months. Call DOS and see what they say about the 221g.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

OMG! This consulate is crazy! 11 years isnt even a big age difference. And why is it that people think its so odd that the woman is older than the man....HELLO...women look good...men are attracted to that.....what does the age matter. And geesh...all in your business about having children or not...what in the world does this have to do with immigration?! I thought the CO was supposed to interview to make sure all work is in order. Why does the system let you get all the way thru name checks security checks financial checks only to have some random CO who has had you file for all of 5 minutes to deny you?!! This system is a load of ####### sometimes. I know they are doing their job,,blah blah blah...but what the hell was USCIS and NVC doing in all that time prior. Why does the CO get to change your fate by just looking at you and thinking to themselves..."hmmm...this guy and this lady don't look like they 'match', let me deny them, or make them wait another 2 months of BS time and see if they come back"...I want to start yelling discrimination and prejudice cause this is obviously a case of judging a book by its cover not by the content of whats inside. I'm just so fed up with people and THEIR idealogy of what is acceptable.

UGH!!!

UGH!!!

I read the embassy review for Moracco, pretty much all mention the "blond lady" she sounds like a demon disguised as human C.O.

I wonder what her record is for denials VS. approvals??? Marlita your right. Age dont matter, and what business is it of C.O.? men do like older woman, Im 8 years older then my love. We can marry who ever we want, but its a shame when a agency has the power to let you live together or not in "The Land of the Free" with your one true Love.

God Bless everyone. Keep faith Diana, its not over with yet Dear. Your in my prays.

Hi wow lots of people answered thanks, here goes the 221g..........Your case requires additional administrative processing, we require nothing further from you at this time. We will contact you by telephone as soon as we are able to continue with your case.................. so I am guessing I will call Dept of State after 1 week to look dumb* to see what it means but if blondie said 3 weeks or more I am thinking she meant it (for fingerprint checks?), and that blonde (maureen ) needs to get a life and move to another consulate, its a wonder she does not have a flat tire or 3 when she gets out of work every day. She is over doing her job, why should she care that Adil cannot have children with me? I had 1 with my ex, that is enough and really none of her business if we match right!? thanks everyone for calming my nerves! Diana

I do not drink but I sure want a stiff rum and coke now heh! heck throw in a cigarette and I do not smoke either! It's not a game at all. Nearly all visas from the middle east are getting put through additional AP. I'm sure this is widely discussed in the regional forum. It's why he saw nobody leave with a visa.

This is in no way a returned petition, so you can calm down. It sounds like she shook you up pretty bad, which is what they like to do. So yes, you can remain calm and wait for the call.

I don't want to be premature here, but seriously I think congratulations will be in order shortly.

221(g) - Does it have anything written or marked on it????

Because 221(g) can also be administrative processing......

Administrative Processing means the interview was successful.

But, now you have to wait for the Department of State to do all their security checks and it can be weeks or months before you have security checks cleared.

Its absolutely standard and par for the course that you received that 221g. Pretty much every Arab male between 16 and 65 is going to get administrative processing/review while security checks are underway. When my husband was going through this I researched ahead of time and I knew to tell him not to freak out when this occurred because its absolutely normal and standard and to be expected. If the 221 g said case was being returned or if the CO said she was going to return it that would be a different story but it sounds to me like he got the normal one.

*Note to anyone else going through Casa (and most of the other middle east/north africa countries) : Expect a 221 g while the security checks are ongoing. read the 221g and make sure its the one for additional processing and then just relax... :) easier said than done but it IS easier if you are prepared and waiting for it.

I also think congratulations are in order for you very soon LSURVIVOR
