I-864 Questions

Hey All,

I am filling out an I-864 for my wife, No joint sponsors, No children or relatives,

I'm confused with these Gov documents as usual

Questions

8 ( eight ) - do I check this box ???

Do I check Yes OR No ???

I know that I do not check question 9

OK now here comes some slight confusion,

Part 5, Question 21

Persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit :

How many do I put for "a." - " Enter the the number you entered on line 10 ???

Is it 0 ? is it 1 ?

Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit :

What about c. ??? does it = "1", for my spouse ???

Then my family size is 3, but that does not make sense,

My family is only 2,

Help !!!

If you are completing a I-864 for your wife, I assume you are sponsoring her. Therefore you check box 8 and Yes underneath.

Part 5, Question 21

If you checked box 8 and Yes, as we determined above, then you also put down 1 in line 10, right? Therefore the answer for 21a is 1 - your wife you are sponsoring.

Next: in line 21 it says in CAPITAL UNDERLINED LETTERS: DO NOT COUNT ANYONE TWICE, therefore you don't put anything in c. And your total in h is 2, just like your family.
