I lost my I-94 card and am now filing to have it replaced (form I-102)

The I-102 asks"Are you filing this application with any other petition or application?"

Should I say yes and send it in with my adjustment of status?

I spoke with 2 lawyers about it, one said that it should be filed with AOS and the other one that it shouldn't, and I would have to wait for my I-94 duplicate to file for AOS (a couple of months probably :(). My situation is different though, because I have changed my status in the US and I only have new I-94 that I received with my new status notice. I sent the original I-94 to file for new status. One of the lawyers said that the new I-94 is enough so I decided not to send form I-102 at all.

I am hoping that this is enough to prove my legal entry, since they wouldn't issue the new I-94 if I didn't have the old one in the first place.

I am curious though how does it really work with sending I-102 with your AOS application...
