Wow, TWO ME/NA Babies!!!!!!!! I'm so excited, I LOVE babies. I mean, I'll probably never get to actually *meet* your babies, but tell them they have an auntie out there who loves them anyway.

OK, another day has passed with nothing tell us what our RFE is for. Sigh. Tomorrow I'm going to try to draft a letter to them formally requesting that they resend it. I wish they would just TELL me what it's for.

Jean, I think you should continue sharing your drama, it makes the thread interesting.

Wow wow and holy cow... An email from the Embassy waiting at my work too. They acknowledged my change of address and put it in our case file.

Now how pathetic is it when you get all excited about a change of address being acknowledged? I need a mental vacation...

This should perk Mohammed up. He brought his guitar last night and just never could muster the heart to play for me. That guitar is like part of his soul so it frightened me to see him so low.

Anyway, God must of heard the prayers...

Hey now.. ANY sign of life from them is worth it

Okay.. so my day was less than exciting, woke up and went to work.

Still digging through the black hole to find tax forms.. Algerian consulate has yet to reply to my e-mail to see if tax *transcripts* are acceptable for the I-134...

Box has not arrived in Algeria yet..

I'm here for a few minutes now but need to go make a big salad for dinner. I'm just exhausted from the headache today.

My youngest son had an embarrasing moment today. He dropped by while Abdel and I were "napping" and brought a girl with him. Would you believe he came by to pick up some cleaning rags!? He said he even mopped his kitchen floor last night. He was telling me all this while I was in the bedroom throwing on some clothes and I heard someone with him. I assumed it was the girl that I mentioned in my post to LB, so I asked him what prompted all that, was she coming over to see him? Well, I walked out and he introduced me to a girl I never met before. What an awkward moment for us all. I do hope he isn't dating this girl because I didn't like her at all. Anyway, as they were leaving she comments to nobody in particular that she wished she could get a "nap". Why is it our kids seem to forget we are normal humans who have normal lives and just drop in at all hours expecting us to just be cleaning house or something? Don't they realize we "do laundry" too? I guess he got the message today.

Congrats to all on the babies and other good news today.

KML, if you want an e-mail of progess, I could send you some. For some unknown reason every time USCIS sends us one, we get it 5 times! I have plenty of them to go around! Maybe you could just change the case number on it and use it. Too bad it's for a different part of the process. It's crazy that you're having to wait so long.

And by the way, your masculinity is welcome here, but don't think you have a monopoly on it, we have some pretty tough ladies here. When you raise kids on your own you learn all kinds of manly things. Most people find it odd that I own and know how to use a table saw, compound miter saw, router and other power tools. At least Abdel is lucky, he gets a full workshop to play in here. I've noticed other of the ladies here have some not-so-feminine skills too.

Anyone heard from her?

I am still checking in now and then. This whole process has me stressed to the max, plus there are a lot of family issues going on. Some days (ok most days ;) ) when I am so down wondering when we will get the visa, I come on here and see all the approvals and I just sink further. I am happy for the other approvals, don't get me wrong, I just want it to be our turn.

My son broke his foot a week ago and those of you that don't know, he is autistic. This little "change" in his life has really upset him which causes little (ok BIG) outbursts, the built in uncontrollable "tics" that he has come out full force and his whole mood just changes. Then I found out that my 1 year old nephew has offically been put on the kidney transplant list. My brother and his wife knew before he was born he would have kidney problems that MIGHT be reversed after delivery. When he was born, his kidneys were so large that he had to be intubated to even breathe because his kidneys wre so large that they were pushing up on his lungs. After a couple days of peeing all the fluid out, he was able to breath on his own. Lots of doctors visits and a few surgeries to replace valves in the ureters, doctors said he only had 1 good kidney and that kidney was not functioning 100%. Last visit a few days ago he only has 1/3 of his kidneys working. He looks totally healthy and acts like a normal 1 year old, but is just very sick. Of course the donor has to be a child which they say can make it difficult also. My brother is going to have his 4 year old son tested and I am going to have my kids tested. I have got a lot of negetive comments from people about "sacrificing my kids kidney" for my nephew. I love my kids and I love my nephew and I can't imagine losing any of them. Am I wrong for wanting to get my kids tested?

We are still on AR hell, just don't know what to think right now, I just really need Khallid here with me right now. (L)
