Its just rhetoric. There's hardly anything scandalous in there.

that just seems like a typical speech a political person would make...

Last I checked, words have meaning! So next time I use a little rhetoric, you gonna give me a pass?

I think you need a little perspective to be honest. You're desperately trying to make what is a pretty innoccuous thank you speech into a major scandal. I get you don't like BO - but picking holes in his choice of words over something this generic is just silly. Very thin gruel indeed.

If you really want to pick holes in his rhetoric you'd be better served to go back to those "bitter" comments he made on the campaign trail.

There are those who say that this primary has somehow left us weaker and more divided. Well I say that because of this primary, there are millions of Americans who have cast their ballot for the very first time. There are Independents and Republicans who understand that this election isn't just about the party in charge of Washington, it's about the need to change Washington.Ê There are young people, and African-Americans, and Latinos, and women of all ages who have voted in numbers that have broken records and inspired a nation.

He has divided us up into different groups quite nicely! Only he left some out.

He probably did. Given that he was giving a nod to the biggest demographics that supported his campaign, lumping everyone and their mother in there would be kinda meaningless.

I mean, he could have said:

There are people who have voted in numbers that have broken records and inspired a nation.

Doesn't really have the same ring to it.

Hmmmmm! how about "all americans"? Meaningless?

You mean you want him to be politically correct. The guy can't win can he... Geez

Its not about winning, its about shedding light on his phoney #######.

No worries. There's 4 months to dig it all up, and Wright is probably missing the spotlight....

Desperately? His words not mine! It is pretty easy to knock him down as it will be in november. Remember I am just a dumb shite ;)

And you can get all this based on a campaign thank you speech?

I dunno.... As I said - I think there are more controversial things that he's said during the campaign.

But be honest here - you'd be on his back if he said "I like tea instead of coffee".

the biggest issue facing obama is he is a racist & america now knows it. period point blank. don't gimme any BS about it either.

when you put his victory/thank you speech add his "clinging/desperate" statements which he "clarified" days later (after the recording of the closed door fund raiser was made public) w/ the statements of the pastors guest/resident of his church (20 years before he knew they had these views & months before he seperates himself from them after the media outed the facts-video don't lie)

with this fact or opinion which ever you choose, its true.

you run w/ your own.....not talking skin color either..... look at your real friends & close associates (people you've associated w/ regularly on a friendly basis for 2 or more years). do most of them share your views & opinions on most issues? yes they do if you say no...you're lying.

the only reason he won the dem nomination is so many people have a severe dislike for hillary (me included, i can't give an exact reason why. i just don't like the lady) if i would have voted in the dem. primaries, i would have voted for obama. in the general election he doesn't have the "i dislike her so much" factor.

Hmmm... based on what?

Perhaps I missed what he said that lead to that interpretation - unless of course the only reasoning for it is the "if there's smoke there's fire" stuff related to his membership of the church.

Certainly - he gave a pretty good speech on the issue of race relations shortly after the initial stories about Jeremiah Wright surfaced.

I don't think "America" has the black and white views on this that you seem to think it does.
