So my fiancee had the first part of her medical today. Seems there are boxes for general appearance, eyes, skin, ect. She says they placed a check on the A box (abnormal) for skin, eyes, general appearance. I hope she was looking at the wrong box or something? I really don't think there is something wrong with her skin, general appearance....her eyes were not 20/20, but fine...

So what the hell is this all about, now Im worried as hell for her next day. Would they be that incompetent to check the wrong boxes? Anyone had this happen?

It is probably just the eyes.

My son had the same case, the doctor who checked him put a check on the A for general appearance and I looked at my kid. He looked perfectly healthy and ok for me. I even went so far as to ask other people there at SLEC if they think my sons appearance look abnormal and they said NO..

So, what I did was really went back to the doctor and asked him why he checked the abnormal box in my son's medical form. He explained that my son is bigger than the average fiilipino kids his age so in comparison to Filipino kids his age, he is considered of abnormal height and weight. He said it is really nothing to worry about because it just in comparison with othe Filipino kids. (My son is not obese or even overweight if you take his height against his weight--his body weight is actually proportioned to his height.) And true enough, it didn't hold us up at SLEC nor did it present any problem with USEM.

I am sure, it is also nothing to worry about in your fiancee's case.

Good luck to her for tomorrow's results. And God bless always.

Hi,

Don't panic. ;) That means the remarks of her Physical exam. Like you said, she wasn't 20/20 vision so means Abnormal (not perfect vision). Just like same if one has false teeth then the the doctor who asked or examined the patient will check or mark the "abnormal" side. Mine was marked "abnormal" for dental as my teeth wasn't complete anymore.

thanks everyone for the replies, yes I think she will do fine, and its nothing serious. Just a bit stressed and freaked out last night after talking with her. This visa process has been sooo long and tedious. I just want this all to have a happy ending and have my sweetie finally with me in the US.
