i worked in uae (dubai to be specific) for years. i checked in the reciprocity that the police certificate is waived.

is it true? i know that USCIS would not post any incorrect information. i am just confused.

our attorney told me that we need it. i got it before i left uae but it has an expiration date.

Greetings!

I applied last 2005 for my interview. I am noto so sure at this time if they are changes but make sure to avoid delays..

It was so tiring from finger printing to authentication before even sending it back to Dubai.

Hi there,

We lived in Abu Dhabi for 2 years and last time I checked it said that you could only get the police certificate if you are present in the country where they would take fingerprints etc etc.

Hope this information is correct because I'm in the UK now and have no way of getting that certificate if they ask me to plus the way things work in the UAE it'd probably take months to get one.

Best of luck.

I do hope so. I read almost similar post from an Aussie who lived in Dubai. He just got his visa and a filipina girl as well. Perhaps, it is true.

Good Luck to all of us..

He addressed it as "Sir" even though I am a gal.

I am not sure if that is still the correct fee. you may send an email to the address above just to double check.

Good luck! I hope this helps.

I applied my IR1 in US embassy abu dhabi at the end of March 2008, and got my immigrant visa on April 2008. They did not ask me a police report from UAE, also my police report from South Korea was expired 5 years ago ( they did not ask me to get the new one ). Maybe I am just a lucky girl.

Police Clearance is UAE is not available when you are not living in that country anymore.. Congrats!!

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

No. I had an old one last year. NVC didn't require it from me and it is not available by post according to DOS site.. :star:
