Recieved NOA2 today!!!!

Super happy to report that we recieved an e-mail today stating our I-130 is approved. I've been trying to refresh myself as to the CR-1 process. I've been really into the details of the K-3 so if anyone has any advice please offer it up! I'm really not too sure what to do at this point if anything. Seems according to the timelines that the NOA2 approval and then the NVC actually sending our case to the consulate is a long wait. 4 to 8 months according to the timelines. Is that correct?

first, congratulations!

second, you're right... now comes the NVC (I'm with you here, we just got our NOA2 from CSC also). From the timelines I've been seeing, It seems to take about two weeks to get to the NVC (but yeah, might take longer). Get yourself familiar with the flowchart for the NVC. It's really handy and helpful. This stage seems much more transparent than the last one. From the timelines that I've seen, that seems to take maybe about two months if you send things back and forth as quickly as you can (and who wouldn't?). Then your case is complete and you wait for your interview.

Congratulations and get ready for the next step. Please follow shortcut from Aussiewench's link. I did the whole CR process for my parents before. So I am familiar with this process. Now, I am going through CR-1 and K-3 for my wife. My timeline is around 15 days behind yours. I hope, I will see my approvals soon.

Congratulations, I just called NVC and it's funny how the system works , my Wife got her NOA-2 on April 27,2006 and arrived at NVC yesterday;my Stepdaughter got her NOA-2 on May 2, 2006 and arrived at NVC 2 days ago. So it's taking approximately or average of 10 days to reach NVC.

Remember with NVC you need all original documents:)

also maybe you can start working on police clearence/record so that when they ask for it it will be all ready.

Here is a quick list of what they may need

Original birth certificate with translation and notorization(for benificiary)

Original marrige certificate

police record for every country the benificiary has lived in after age 16

Taxes and W-2 forms of sponsor and co-sponsor/household member.

recent pay stub or letter of employment of sponsor and co- sponsor/household member.

copy of benificiary's biographical page of passport.

That should keep you bussy untill they request it................best of luck:)
