Im trying to print out form G325A my fiance bio info and these little boxes with + inside come onto the form and block out some of the data I typed onto the form- has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it. I only have a few more days in thailand before I go back and I need my fiance to sign the forms before I go back.

I am also confused as to what are cities in thailand and what are provinces as everytime I talk to a thai I seem to get a different answer for example I was told Mahasarakam was a city then I saw it listed on a document as a Province. I have also been told that Khon Kaen is both a city and a province.

can anyone shed some light?

Mellowmike,

Post this question in the sawasdee 2 forum. I think you will get more help/information because everyone there has a fiance in Thailand and they may know the cities/provinces difference. Unfortunately I don't know the difference either.

Your fiance doesn't know either?

Sometimes the cities and the provinces are the same, similar to Denver County and Denver the city. I can't speak for the specific ones you mention. I would take the official document seriously. Translations from Thai to English can vary, too. I guess that's why they request the beneficiary to write their address in their native language.

Ive been searching this site for the sawasdee 2 forum and the serch never finds it for me--is the forum on this site? not only does the GF not know cities from provinces but a professional translator I talked to also had it confused--maybe sawasdee 2 can help if I can ever get there. it very confusing here as even the city Im staying in Khorat has at least 5 different names Ive uncovered so far---the problem may be that the english words city, state, or province dont translate well into Thai..

I ran into the same problem. In some cases I just abbreviated (when the name was obvious), and in others I left it blank and hand wrote it in after printing.

Nakhon Si Thammarat, Nakhon Si Thammarat. And I've seen some transliterations that are even longer. Doesn't fit into most fields.

I ran into this problem on both the I-129F form and 325a. I attached (stapled) a word document to the form Titled "supplementary information for I-129F and marked the portions of the form I was completing. This is what the USCIS people had told me to do.

I had the problem when my entry was too long to fit the space. I figured out the + meant there was more information than showed in the field. But since it wouldn't print and the + covered up things, I just did what I could to shorten the name with abbreviations until I got what I thought would be acceptable and fit in the space.
