Hi all, I wanted to know if anyone who has gotten an approved expedite could help me? I filed for a financial hardship expedite last Wed and heard nothing back from VCS however on the 2nd and 3rd of this month I have gotten touches. A little but about my expedite is I am Social security disability and have 3 small children. I have rent and utilities that take up the majority of my income and the rest goes to other bills and I am in alot of debt. I have gone thrue my savings and so has my husband. I supplied evidence in the form of utilities, rent , medical bills, car payment, and insurance(rental&car). My husband and I are parent to the youngest child and I informed them of this in my letter. I also informed them that my husband who used to send money, no longer can because of his savings and the fact his mother and 4 siblings had to move in with him becuase of a financial hardship on their part.

Does anyone know if the touches in 2 days is a good thing and if they think I submitted enough evidence? Any comments will help as I am at wits end trying to figure out what is going on. Thanks a bunch guys

It sounds like its a positive thing, I bet you will have your apporval so very soon. Good luck!!! Just give it a few more days.

Oh one last thing, you should receive a email from USICS on the 5th business day after you requested the expedite. So breath till then, I think its a good thing for you. I hope it works out for you and your love.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

All a touch means is that someone accessed your file--nothing more. They would access it regardless of whether they subsequently approved or denied a request.

After you faxed/mailed your evidence to the service center in which your pending case is at they will send you an email stating if you were approved or denied the expedite, the approval looks something like this ....

The status of this service request is:

This expedite request has been approved.

Upon receipt of your letter requesting expeditious handling, this matter was

reviewed and a determination was made that it met the criteria for special

handling.

The petition/application will be reviewed and you should be receiving

notification from this office very shortly.

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service

Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Please remember: By law, every person who is not a U.S. citizen and who is over

the age of 14 must also notify the Department of Homeland Security within 10

days from when they move (persons in "A" or "G" nonimmigrant status are exempt

from this requirement). If you have moved, please complete a Form AR-11 and mail

it to the address shown on that form. If you do not have this form, you can

download it from our website or you can call the National Customer Service

Center at 1-800-375-5283 and we can order one for you. If you move, please call

us with your new address information as soon as your move is complete. If you

have already called us and given us this information, you do not need to call

again.

The normal turn around time for this is about 5 days. If they grant your expedite then you can assume your case will be approved in a few days. But as a note, if you see your case being worked on for more than 1 day after an expedite there is something that caused them to do extra work. Good Luck. Oh and on a side note before the question is asked, my expedite was for humantarian reasons (Rebeccajo), something very similar to what Ilya R. was talking about yesterday.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I hope you too will have your approval soon. In fact I hope everyone will soon get their approvals. I am not putting too much into this expedite becuase I know USCIS can be cold hearted sometimes but I hope I will get someone to work on my case that has a their sensativity chip working.
