Wanting to file K-1

I had filed an I-130 in 2000 for my then husband. He came to the US and we were happily married for 5 years unfortunately things did not work out for us and we ended up getting a divorce.

I now have fallen in love with a man from the same country that my ex is from. I want to file a k-1 visa for him so we can get married and start our life together.

My question is...has anyone here been in this situation before and will we get approved. I can't imagine not being with him for the rest of my life.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanx.

Nobody can tell you in advance whether you'll be approved but filing a petition for second fiance or spouse is not grounds for denial. Your case will stand on its own two feet.

Thank you that has actually made me feel a lot better. We have everything to prove that we have been together for several years now. I just didn't know if the past would complicate things.

Be very honest about that old relationship as well.

You should be fine.

Good luck to you.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

As far as LOTS of stuff to prove a bonafide relationship I was just going to submit pictures, hotel receipts, flight iteneraries, copy of the stamps in my passport and if needed i can submit phone bills. Is there anything else that I should have?

And yes Jomo's Girls honesty is the best policy. I have nothing to hide.

Just make sure you have plenty of copies of divorce documents along with the evidence of meeting your fiance'. Good luck.
