my fiancee got a green slip the first interview, they wanted me to hand write a letter about our realtionship. i did that and we also sent more pictures and things. today when she dropped off those things they looked over everything and told her she was missing a duplicate copy of the DS156 and also needed to bring some small passposrt photos. so now im guess atfer she brings those thing it will mean a pink slip for us?? anyone know how long it take after the pink slip to get the visa? so told me a few people there said ita about 10 days, but i read on the US consulates web site that you can pick up the visa the next day after approval.

If all the HCMC Consulate wants is the requested documents for a pink slip, you will get it anytime from the next day to 3 weeks. It depends on how busy the Consulate is and whether or not you request getting the visa sooner once you have the pink slip.

When Thi got her pink slip, her pick up date was a week later. Since I was there for the interview and had a return flight to the US on her pick up day, I called the Consulate the day of her interview and the next day before I got a CO who easily agreed to move up the date to the next day. That made it easy for us to return together to the US.

It all depends on the consulate. The consulate is like a ###### dictator and it depends on his/her mood at the time. Is this America that they represent???? I thought that it was a sure thing that we would get our pink slip after we received a blue slip and submitted all of the required information. ####, we had hundreds of emails and statements from telephone conversations. We also had a whole photo album. I don't think that you could ever be prepared enough as the consulate will find some crazy #### out of the ordinary and you and your spouse will have to jump through the emotional hoops just to satisfy them enough to grant you your visa. It amazes me how some people get their pink slips on their first attempt while others have to deal with numerous obstacles in order to get theirs, if they get theirs.

You'll be O.K. Jeff. Just do what you know you need to do and it will be fine. It's not fair, there's no doubt about it.

P.S. You need to call Senator Clinton's office. After all "No woman is illegal".

I plan to call her office later this week when my voice returns. I am out sick today with an upper respiratory infection so it wouldn't sound to professional if I were to call today. I did however send her and Charles Chumer an email.
