Bring same Documents to interview you sent to NVC?

Hi, My wife and I are confused if she needs to bring the same documents she sent to NVC to her interview? Things we read say bring Birth cert, Marriage contract, Police cert., divorce decree, etc.. to interview? And also we read on VJ what they ask for in interview and they ask for these documents at the interview, but doesn't the NVC forward those documents to the Manila Embassy? So there should be no need of the documents you sent to the NVC to bring extra ones to interview unless they lost some?

thanks again for any help:-)

from experience they don't ask me documents they already have in hand... but its not bad to have it on hand in case they ask for it again :D

They are suppose to send the docs to local consulates, but we're suppose to take the same documents in hands to the interview. I know there's no pint but that's what the guides tell us to do so we better do it as requested to avoid any problems at the interview.

to be safe, bring the same documents the one u forwarded to nvc. the pre screener and the consul thinks different. the others will ask u some additional evidence or proofs of relationship, the others dont. u better prepared or sorry....

I believe that the documents you hand carry to your interview should be the same as the one's mailed to NVC (certified copies/originals). If for some reason a document didnt make it to the embassy from NVC.. they you should be ready to show them the official document at that time.. This is why its recommended to hand carry an extra of each document. Also, remember to ask them for the copies you mailed to NVC back. They are supposed to return them to you during the interview. Don't let them forget.. we all paid alot of money for them

On the fifth page of the appointment letter is saying what documents NVC received/complete and which one you should bring in case you sent certified copies, cause they need to see originals. If you already sent originals you should be fine, consulate in Lima, Peru gave us back copies we already sent and kept the originals.

NO,consulate will not mail appointment letter. NVC will mail appointment letter to the petitioner and beneficiary/applicant in this case, if the applicant dont receive the letter(there is possibility with some cases I found on VJ), then petitoner can fax or mail copy of it, cause without the letter applicant will not be able to do medical exam.
