Appreciate the advice we got on this forum. My wife is from Brazil and she has lived here since 1988. No one ever told us that when she became a us citizen she had to notify social security. I noticed it on here and we went to the social security office a couple of weeks ago. They said yes you have to notify them. We were only 14 years late. Got new SS card in the mail today.

When I called them they said dont worry about it till you retire. That didnt seem right to me.
