...since I was around.

I'm just checking in to see how every one is doing??

You were all such great support while I was going through my process and I could not have done it without this board.

So thank you and how is every one getting along these days?

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Whooooo!!! She's back!!!!!

You will not believe this but I have been wondering where you've been these last few months. In fact, TODAY I was looking at your name as the topic starter for the OT forum and thinking "Where IS she?"

So glad you checked in, Treble! You really should stop by more often. It's a real hoot here sometimes.

Well, no one else gets our jokes.

It looks like you've got a good group in/moving to NJ. Can't wait to see the pics and hear all about your get-togethers! Would be a hoot.

Me?... I am doing really well. Have more-or-less settled into married life. I still have days where I miss being on my own and sometimes catch myself thinking "It would be nice if you went on a business trip or something."

I average one trip home per season so the homesickness is kept to a minimum. I manage to have dinner with my former staff each visit so they jokingly refer to it as our quarterly business meeting. I love where I live and my new neighbours. I can honestly say that these are the best neighbours I have ever had. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and lots of fun. The unfortunate part is that I am going to have to add them to my list of people I miss when we move, dammit.

This is not to say that I did not have my moments. The timing couldn't have been worse for quite a few things and there were many many times when I cried and yelled and wondered at the sanity of it all. But I am fine now. There's. Just. This. Tic. .......

Ah totally understand with you there. Where are you moving to now? I, too, wish my husband would "go on a business trip" once and awhile! haha How sad is that? We move to be with the ones we love and then there are times we want them far away from us so that we can have our own space.

I had a ton of raging fits about being away from home but those seem to be few and far between now. Id be happier to go home more often but working full time does not allow me to do it :( I think I might take a quit trip home though on the 4th of july weekend.

Mephys is in Chicago as well. I'm sure there are others, but she's one that comes to mind as well as SpirtAlight! Have fun, and share some pictures of your meeting!

thetreble, it's so nice to hear from you! What have YOU been up to? There have been a few posters who haven't been around if at all for awhile now, and it's so nice when they drop in for a post!

We're not sure, yet, where we're moving to. Hopefully it won't be for a while, yet, because I really like it here. Plus, there is so much left to do and I am going to kick myself if I don't get it all done before we leave.

What are you working FT at? (If I may ask.) I believe I saw you said you were writing?

IR5FORMUMSIE:

haha Hey I'm not trouble! I'm just outspoken :jest: Go ARSEnal? Psh! The Red Devils were, and always will be, the champions. My blood runs red through and through my dear!

Carla and Krikit:

I'm doing well but trying to get OUT of my job desperately. I'm working for a general contractor in accounts at the moment but yes Krikit, I'm trying to get a job with a publisher in New York City as an editor. I do write, but that's more on the side. I used to work for a magazine when I was in University. I'd love to do that again. It seems though that it's not as easy as it looks :( I'm having a bit of a hard time getting any calls even though I have an English literature degree and editing experience. But nevertheless, I trudge along in the hopes that I can make it in the big city!

Other than that, just getting used to being with my husband every day :) Right now I'm saving up money to buy a house so I'm living with my father in law. Oh oh! We bought a dog!!!!

n90402092_34364013_7194.jpg

Her name is Bella! She's a little bigger than this now as this was a couple of months ago. She's the cutest thing ever and she still steps all over her ears

I miss Canada DEARLY. I'd still love to move back to Ottawa but when you both have jobs, it doesn't seem like such a great idea. I'm only a 9 hour drive away from home but it seems like so far when you are living your daily life.

How are ALL of you!??

Hi treble! Nice to hear from you :)

Just make sure Bella keeps a nice healthy weight, Basset hounds that are overweight often get back problems  She's a cutie :luv:

Man stop copying me

Seriously I thought I was insane at some points, but I think I am fine now :)

Yeppers I am around, me and SpiritAlight talked about meeting but it just hasn't happened yet, I have been busy around doing stuff lately and we are both the kind of not taking any commitment, se we really haven't set a date lol ;)
