Outstanding. I don't remember that one.

"In Praise Of Pip" with Jack Klugman and Billy Mumy. Klugman tied Merideth for the most episodes (4).

Here's links to the whole episode (better get out the hankies if you plan on watching this one):

Did anyone see that old 60's TV Series: The Invaders? Sort of like The Fugitive - but the guy is trying to prove that aliens are taking over the world. It had a Twilight Zone style narration in every episode.

I've seen a few episodes on the rerun channels.

I think though (due to Roy Thinnes' inability to act among other factors), the series was a flop.

I've started watching it again on DVD - its actually pretty good, not to mention very edgy.

You thought Thinnes acting was bad? I thought he was quite good for that era of television.

Maybe equivalent to Dave Janssen (sp); but, put it this way--one definitely DID NOT want to watch a Fuge rerun followed by an O'Hara rerun.

Actually I think William Shatner was one of the TV worst actors - at least in the 60's and 70's. Recently he seems to have reinvented himself into a pretty good comedic actor.

True that none of ST's cast could have pulled off a successful 3-season series (admittedly, more success in reruns than in original) by self--only as combined.

I dunno - Deforest Kelley wasn't bad, nor was Leonard Nimoy for that matter. Though Nimoy was apparently a raging alcholic during the Spock years.

I'm actually surprised that Trek got away with being a total rip-off of Forbidden Planet. Though I imagine intellectual property law wasn't as developed then as it is now...

Any possibility FP's producers may have appreciated the fact they got imitated?

(noted from the similarity of Flintstones to an animated version of Honeymooners, the fact that Jackie Gleason never filed a lawsuit on that)

I dunno - I rather doubt it.

Ok, we've gone tangential long enough--anyone else have any favourite TZ episodes (edit: since it was not specified "original 1959-1964 series", we'll also accept entries from 1985-1988 series)
