Well, she didn't get her pink again, yet she got another fing blue slip. This time saying that we don't have enough proof and need more evidence. She will send me the copy of the 2nd blue slip later today. I don't know what more proof I can possibly provide or who to contact to help us. This is ridiculous. I mean we have hundreds of emails, receipts of phone calls, text messages, pictures, airline tickets for June and September, not to mention that we have known each other for almost 2 years now. SHe mentioned that the consulate sugested that I come there so thyat we have more evidence. I will however know more later.

I am so frustrated at this whole process this does not seem just of fair whatsoever.

1.) You can contact Marc Ellis. This would be my first step.

2.) You can go there as they suggested. This would be my second step.

3.) You could try the marriage route again. Been down that road, but......

4.) You could get her pregnant. Last resort with no guarantee. It would make your case more compelling though. Others have succeeded with this option.

I'm not questioning that you provided false information but I'm appalled that anyone would have to do this to get a visa granted. This is disgusting!

Tell that to the 5 (that I know of) that have been granted visas due to having a child. If a child is in the plans then what does it hurt? I knew this would bring out the "boo birds".

[/color] Excuse me? boo birds??? I find it sad that the 5 people that wanted a visa, had to do this. That's what's disgusting, not that you mentioned it.

This proves absolutely nothing.

To the OP: I would either go there or get a lawyer on it ASAP.

Good luck.

Tell that to the Consulate.

Nothing wrong with being a boo bird. I do it all the time!

I prefer using the word abhorrent when discussing some of the tactics involved with this Consulate on occasion. It is so weird because some just seem to skate right through while others are ran through the wringer. I know each case has it's own particulars but there was on recently that I was sure would be given the green or blue and she sailed right through. I am happy for them but I know there were red flags that others have been held up for.

Well, she said that they didn't ask her any questions or anything before they gave her the blue slip. She doesn't even believe that they read the statements which took me days to draft up. Is this what America has come to? Each case should be treated fairly and equally instead of the consulate trying to play the dictator role. Today I will be contacting my congressman and anyone else who I think may be able to help. This is totally ridiculous and unjust. I understand fully that there are many of those who try and obtain a visa for fraudulent reasons but there are also many of us who are sincere. Unfortunately it is those who are sincere that often are discriminated against. There truly needs to be some change and restructuring with the HCM process whether it be employing more staff or reducing the number of appointments in a given day. Each case needs to be treated equal. Those are just my thought though.

While going to HCMC Consulate in person now isn't ideal for you, I would suggest that calling and emailing now to the Consulate what they really want is the best next step. You need to make sure you tell to a Consulate Officer, not a Vietnamese employee. If you can talk to the CO who interviewed your fiancee. If you have given them evidence you mentioned in your post, there must be something in the evidence that has them thinking yours is not a real relationship.

Hiring a qualified lawyer is also a good idea but the Consulate seems to want to hear from you. I don't know why it happens some times but the Consulate will make it difficult for some couples. The good news is once the Consulate understands your relationship, they give you a plnk slip.
