DS 230 Questions

I know I'm far off sending DS230 package yet but I've following questions based on what I read it seems.

NVC requires all the following (original documents or certified copies) to be sent with DS 230.

* Birth Certificate

* Court and Prison Records

* Deportation Documentation

* Marriage Certificate

* Marriage Termination Documentation

* Military Records

* Photocopy of Valid Passport Biographic Data Page

* Police Certificate(s)

* photos

my questions are:

1. Who sends this to NVC... does Beneficiary receive a letter for all these to be sent to NVC..or can I (Petitioner) gather these from the beneficiary and send it to NVC after having it signed by her? If beneficiary receives a letter, do I need to wait for her to receive or can it be sent before it?

2. website of NVC says original or certified copies. What's the best way to make a certified copy - can any lawyer do it? If originals are sent to NVC, how do they send it back..and how will the beneficiary have the originals at her interview?

if you send back, ds3032 stating u are the agent then you have to gather all the paper work, sign by your spouse. u return them w/ds230.

no you don't have to wait to received letter before return, you can call and check the status then use shortcut on thus sitee. all original should be return to your spouse at time of interview

certified copies are from issuing authority (also called originals, they keep the originals and make another certificate from the original, this way if you ever need another certificate they still have the original information to make the certificate from). the best thing to do is to request 2 documents at the time so you will have one to send to NVC and one for your records.

And also, you might not get it back your originals(if you send orig.), we didnt, they gave us back only copies.
