G-325A [Confusion Filling out Residences/Employment]

I'm in the Armed Forces and, while filling out my residence for the last five years, is it acceptable to put: FPO (City), AA (State), in those particular boxes - for instance, if I was stationed on a Naval ship - and LIVED on it (which was the case) - my address would be: USS SOMENAVYSHIP FPO, AA, USA - on the G-325A? Does this make sense?

I doubt that I would put my "domicile," because I've read elsewhere on this site that you must put your ACTUAL residences for the last five years. In addition to this, many of my "residences" In the last five years have been on military posts and I had no real "address" while assigned there (other than a mailing address, which was often a unit posted on that command, so it would read something like (as an example, when I lived in Italy my "resident" address was): Name, NAVCOMTELSTA Sicily, PSC ###, Box ###, FPO, AE #####.

In addition to this, because I've been "employed" by the military for the last 5 years, would I simply put: UNITED STATES NAVY, N/A, N/A 2002-Present Time?

I'm a little uncertain whether or not any of this is acceptable and hope some of you have experience with this. Thanks for any help!

Just attach a sheet and explain. First of, put your home of record and indicate that it is your permanent address.

Then list all of the places you've physically been present, and the associated addresses, even if they are FPO.

If you lived on base give the mailing address and the street address, if you had one. If you didn't have the street address, the name of the base should be adequate. We ran into some of this with my son and his USMC history -

Kuwiat, Iraq, at sea, Camp Pendleton, etc. His petitions were accepted with no problem.

Thai Family, thanks a lot for the answer. I was feeling a bit stressed about it because I would hate to have my petitions denied for such my being just confused. I'll attach a continuation sheet with all related military posts (which make up about all of my the five years residence, except for two) and an explanation of why they are FPO, etc. (thought I suppose that should be self-evident to reviewers, eh).

Anyway, thanks a lot! Can't wait to get this package in.
