MENA: I Need your opinion

Hey everyone,

Yap its me...still on AP and I feel like a dead horse myself. I was reading on another site about how this man contacted everywhere after his 8th month and finally got the case to get moving. I never want to force anything, so I did not do anything before. But now, a few words he said struck me: "I was not willing to take no for an answer and I knew I deserved an speedy name check – I had never been in any kind of trouble with the law."

My husband too, never did anything harmful or unlawful. Maybe its time for me to do something. I know many of you had contacted your congressmen, etc. I would like to know how you did it. Do you just e-mail them? I know there is some form to allow to release your information or something of that sort - my head is not fully functioning as of now...can someone tell me how they contacted their congressman, or any other body?

PS: Theres so many different problems going on here in MENA, from e-mail searches that turned out bad to illnesses and delayed arrival of SO, to all of you, . I hope we all hang in there and get some solution to our problems.

Look up state representatives for which ever state you are in. then contact one of them by telephone at the office closest to you. ask about their immigration services. a lot of the times their websites have information about immigration services on there. fax or turn in the release to them to represent your case. give them copies of your NOA's and communication with the embassies. go from there and call weekly if you have to.

i found my senator to be less than helpful, all he did was email the consulate and get the same generic answer i did.

My congressman sent me a release to sign and said he sent some inquires. I have heard nothing since this.

Don't give up, the wait is killing all of us, sucking out our strength and trust. It is hard to live when u are apart.

i think yeah you can call of Email your congress man . and i think he can help you somehow .

maybe he will call the embassy and tell you whats going on or maybe he will rush them somehow.

For sure have your state rep involved, but do the letters to the higher up in Washington also, even if it takes the President, Vice President etc they will never understand the problems if we dont tell them. The one i read about had contacted the Vice Presidents office, it can never hurt

If your find one of your reps isnt doing what you want contact them all until you get one that will work for you, luckly mine does things immediately when i talk to her......

I think it does not hurt to inquire. Like I said before, I consider "checking status" to be an instigator on getting the ball rolling. Somewhere, someone is sitting on your file. Asking about it may make it move.
