USCIS sends the case to the consulate or embassy through NVC. The next thing to do is contact NVC 2 weeks or so after NOA2 to get case status, and MNL case number.

They will first need the MNL case number from NVC, not the USCIS file number.

We have almost the same NOA2 date. We contacted NVC (603)334-0700 (see Sheriff Uling's signature). They informed us that it was sent to USEM last May 23, 2008 and gave us our Manila Case Number Assignment.

My fiance called up last friday, May 30, but it was not yet in their database. He just called up again and we got an interview date.

I believe yours is in the USEM already but you have to know your Manila Case Number.

Pls. expect 20 days or 1 month when you get your confirmation letter from embassy. Maybe it would be less in 20 days if you in Luzon. Im from Mindanao so thats why it took 20 days for me to get it upon approval of petition. Goodluck!

If you are not in a hurry you can wait for the letter until you call Embassy for interview. But if you are, wait for 2 weeks from the day NVC informed you that your papers are forwarded to USEM. Your fiance can call to get your interview schedule using the VisaPoint service. Please refer to these links: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwhvpnt.html
