Hi everyone,

I just recieved an email yesterday from CRIS. It said that my I129 and I130 has been approved and I will be recieving the letters within a few days. Not sure what it really means. I hope that I didn't forget any information. If it is for sure approved, what are the next steps before they send to Thailand. I want to get everything ready in hand so I could speed up the process. Waiting for instructions of what to do next is like waiting for application to get approved. I want to be prepaired. And sorry for not understanding, but what does NVC stand for? Thank

Boon

Well next step is you will receive the NOA2 and a notice from NVC informing you of your new NVC Case Number. When you got that you can call the number indicated in the notice and ask for sched of interview then you start downloading the requirements for your petition which usually can be found in the country consulate website... Goodluck to you...

In Thailand the spouse has to send in packet three by mail before an interview can be scheduled for a K-3 visa. It can be downloaded from their website, so your spouse does not have to wait for it to arrive in the mail prior to sending it in. It can be sent as soon as you verify that they have your case in Bangkok.

http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/k_visa_packet3.pdf

We are at this stage. They want:

DS 230, Part 1

Signed checklist

Two passport photos

Copy of photo page from the Thai spouse's passport

The Bangkok embassy's website is very helpful. Friends on VJ's Sawasdee 2 are a real blessing.

Interviews are being scheduled about three months <after they receive packet three>.
