Being in a public forum one would think that, by default, all posts are merely opinion unless stated otherwise. So if I, for example, said I don't like the cold, run-down, has been, northern cities; that is my opinion and does not constitute research or fact. So why make it out as if I, or anyone, is claiming it is a matter of fact. And then attacking it..

Have you noticed how I almost never rebut or ridicule your posts unless I am trying to being a smart ###. This is no coincidence maviwaro. But is the case because I always thought most people in a public forum knew that a post is basically an intangible opinion.

There's nothing wrong with opinions, but when they run into broad-brush generalisations, it helps to at least acknowledge the limitations of those views.

Hence I vehemently disagree with you on the issue of race (or indeed the state of modern youth and parenting) because you always seem to base your characterisations on flawed stereotypes; insisting that a few youtube videos and extreme news stories bear out your point.

An opinion is merely and opinion. Neither right or wrong. It only came to my attention now that I am here in AUS and notice the difference. Even when communicating with liberals here. It seriously does explain a lot. It explains why you cannot stand people like O'reilly. You clearly have an issue with accepting other people's opinion. And it's not only you but seems to be a fault of many here. O'reilly is not a dh. He is just voicing his opinion. As Michael Moore is entitled to his own etc.

The only mistake I made was trying to justify my opinion. Unless stated otherwise all posts are opinion. Simple as that. An opinion do not need to be justified or proved right. Being from the UK I thought you would have realized that..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Well firstly you're assuming that all opinions are equal. I mean if someone tried to tell you that the moon was made out of green cheese, are you seriously saying you'd give that the time of day?

In any case you're misunderstanding me. I'm totally fine with contrary opinions - what I object to is the refusal to acknowledge the limitation of some of those opinions in relation to broad generalisations that cannot reasonably extrapolated across an entire population. When for example you write off an entire city as a shithole and its population as a$$holes, I call a foul. Simple as that.

To address BY's concerns though... forum or not... one owns one's comments and what one says implies what one thinks, at the minimum. When we make claims, when not of our own thinking, we should disclaim to disavow any expertise from what we say, and 6 does it when necessary.

When we make statements without disclaimers or grammatical devices to clarify them as statements not of our own position, then it is the same as making the statement in our own point of view. That is logical enough.

Six, your posts of love for humanity are very,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, well lets just say,,,,,,,, you have favorites. So a conclusion can be drawn that your equality of mankind is BIAS!

Your need of POPULARITY is OBVIOUS! Lick a finger bud! Preferably the one you werent pickin your ### with!

 I think you ought to go back to sleep.

In any case - perhaps you can explain that first sentence in something approaching intelligible English. I don't think you realise that the meaning of the vast majority of stuff you write is lost on quite a lot of people. You'd be surprised at who I've gotten PM's from to the effect of "I have no clue what this guy is jabbering about".

What I would like to know is why your answering a comment that is not intelligible? So WEAK!

Why? Simply to point out that it makes no sense - and to further point out that it probably doesn't even make sense to you. At least not in a manner that you could explain in a coherent fashion.

In any case if that's all you got then

In other words - you're replying for the sake of replying. THAT is weak.
