Hello GUYS! Thank God Jesus Christ I was approved from my AOS Interview. It's painless and the consul is very nice and he was the one bit nervous with us :P hehehe! We got all the documents needed just incase he ask but guess what he only asked for my drivers licensed,social sec. card and passport and for my hubby he only asked his drivers licensed. Reviewed the application and finally said:" congrats you are approved,you are immigrant now " and he removed my I-94 and stamp my passport. Took only 5 mins. for our interview!

I'll receive my 2 years greencard w/in 2 weeks and we don't have to go again for interview for my 10 years greencard bec. once i'll mail my I-751 after 1 year and 7 mos. (90 days before the expiration date of conditional greencard) then he told me they will just mail my permanent greencard. He even told me that i could apply for citizenship w/in 2 years and 9 months from now GOD is willing.

All couples going for AOS interview just bring all the documents just to be safe okey bec. we did fortunately they never ask anything from the papers!

I want some help here from all of you..... I arrived to the US on 2nd May and my fiance & me are getting married on the 13th of May. I wanted to know what is the next step, where do I apply for my work permit, etc.

--March 28,2006 Married in Naperville ,Illinois to United States Citizen

--April 5, 2006 Medical examination (I 693)+ Vaccination supplement form completed (chicago)

--April, 18,2006 AOS Package(I 130,I 485, I765)+supporting documents sent (chicago Lock Box)(DAY 1)

--May 1, 2006 BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENTS ( I 765 , I 485) received by mail for May 6, 2006

--May 6, 2006 BIOMETRICS TAKEN BY USCIS in Naperville (Day 19)

--July 21,2006 Initial Interview but waiting for FBI NAME CLEARANCE (Day 92)

--April 25, 2009 Infopass appointment to inquire my case : Result case was approved in June of 2008 but no body bothered to update my file (Day almost 610 )

Congratulations Rocky,

Go for the citizenship. You will be glad you did. It gives you an opportunity to vote for/or against all of these folks that made your life difficult the last couple of years.

To the poster that I am quoting. You need to read the guidelines at the top of this site. They are really helpful. If you have specific questions then you can jump back in. Don't trust others for your research. Read everything and come here for opinions. AOS is pretty easy. It is just a lot of money and a few forms.

30 Oct 2008 Still nothing for step daughter. Checks still haven't cleared the bank

24 November Checks finally cleared the bank

February biometrics for wife Nothing for daughter.
